Process Improvement

We were booked with our students for the educational tour. We were informed of a situation where bloodstains were found on the mattress and bedsheet. It's very improper to charge our male students for this. They don't have fresh cuts or so. Please look into your process and internal controls. It's not good to charge outright without proper investigation. While penalties were waived because we contest the supposed charges, it is still not fine considering that it affected our itinerary schedule for the day.

They did not give uy clean and new sheets, the foam also has stains. The experience was troubling and awful, me and my friends were stressed to say the lease. ........................................................................

This was our first time staying at Excelsior Hotel, as it served as a quick stopover for my family before we headed off to Batangas on a weekend. We were looking for a convenient place to rest before continuing our journey, and Excelsior’s location near the mall and SLEX made it an ideal choice.

Pros:

Location: Perfectly situated near a major mall and SLEX, which was great for getting back on the road quickly.
Friendly Staff: From the moment we arrived, the staff was courteous, greeting us with smiles even when we were still at a distance. It’s rare to find such warmth, and it definitely set a positive tone for our stay.
Fast Check-In: The check-in process was smooth and quick, likely because there weren’t too many guests at the time.
Attentive Bellman: The bellman promptly brought our luggage to the room, showing great alertness and professionalism.
Spacious Room: The room was larger than expected, providing ample space for my family of four (my wife, two kids, and myself).
Areas for Improvement:

Room Cleanliness: While the room appeared clean at first glance, upon closer inspection, we noticed dust and cobwebs in the open wardrobe area. The bathroom cleanliness also left something to be desired, with poorly maintained tile grouting and issues with the shower drain.
Lighting: The room could benefit from brighter, more vibrant lighting to enhance the atmosphere. The hallways, too, felt dim and could use better illumination.
Maintenance Issues: I have a keen eye for details, and I noticed some areas where the hotel could improve, such as a few ceiling lights being turned off on our floor and a busted bulb in the reception area. Small maintenance issues like these detract from the overall experience and should be addressed by management.
Cable TV: Personally, I no longer enjoy cable TV, and neither do my kids. It’s more of a personal preference, but it would be great if the hotel could invest in streaming services like Netflix or YouTube Premium to provide guests with more modern entertainment options.
Welcome Drink Setup: The setup of the welcome drink table felt off. The tablecloth was in an awkward position, and overall, it didn’t look appealing. It would be nice if the presentation were improved for a better first impression.
Dining Experience:

My wife ordered tapsilog from the in-house dining, but unfortunately, it wasn’t up to par. There’s certainly room for improvement in the food quality department.
Final Thoughts: The Excelsior Hotel has a lot of potential, especially given its strategic location and friendly staff. However, it would benefit greatly from improved cleanliness, better lighting, and more attention to small maintenance details. On a positive note, I appreciated the abundance of electric sockets in the room, a convenience that can sometimes be overlooked by other hotels. The security staff was also kind and helpful, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere.

With a bit more attention to detail and improvement in certain areas, this hotel could become a fantastic stopover spot. For now, it serves its purpose well for short stays but leaves room for growth.

Upon entering the room the AC is not functioning and staffs took their time not attending to it, then after 3 calls they finally responded. Toiletries needs payment??? Even the towels needs payment and the portion of shampoo and soap is not even enough for a family of 3 and honestly there are more than 4 people in one room and they didn't even bother doing something about it, but again toiletries needs payment? Hilarious, at least add sufficient towels and toiletries for a family that you already taken cared of during the booking, isn't housekeeping aware of who are the people going to the room? Isn't the front desk suppose to inform them about it? Even if it's just a 1 day or overnight stay, we still payed for it and hence we're you're guest and the rule is that they're attending to the guest's needs right? If not how can you attain guest satisfaction.

-Next time double check the rooms if all things are in shape and functionable.
-Reconsider giving toiletries without much payment needed.
-Fast service

This will be our 1st and Last stay due to bad checkin experience. Arrived at 3pm, but we had to wait an hour because room is still unavailable. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We had to keep following up, before they gave us the room key at 4pm. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Even my kids agree that this is a skibidi experience, never going back and will never recommend to friends and family.

We booked a stay at the Excelsior Hotel in Las Pinas City for the long weekend, and my kids are very excited. We arrived early before our 3pm check-in, knowing it’s a holiday and the hotel would be busy. However, it's now almost 4pm, and we're still waiting for our room to be cleaned. The receptionist can’t provide an exact time for when the room will be ready. It's frustrating and disappointing that we haven’t received any communication or apology for the delay. We are patient and understanding, but we expected at least a courtesy update. This is our first visit here, and it will likely be our last, as this is not the level of service we anticipated.
