Trial stay

We have an advanced reservation for the coming Holy Week and saw in their website that the hotel has a Summer Promo rate. So my wife and I decided to stay for a night to try their facilities. These are our observations:

Pros:
• Accessible and near shopping malls
• Spacious parking
• Big deluxe room
• Big pool (though did not use to check if clean)
• Courteous staff and accommodating

Cons:
• No aircon in hallway
• Foyer area of room smells bad
• Fruit flies inside room
• Foods at Gourmand not warm despite us having breakfast very early
• Food containers were all open when we arrived
• There are flies and mosquitoes in Gourmand. My wife had several mosquito bites
• No bathrobe though read in other reviews that it is available upon request

We are now having second thoughts if we will push through with our reservations for the Holy Week which coincide with our Anniversary.

The perfect base for a family visit!

We just completed a very memorable trip visiting family in the Philippines and stayed for 6 nights in a 2 bedroom suite at this hotel. The suite slept 6 of us quite comfortably, and included a large living room area for us to entertain many of the family who came to see us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, helping us set up a dinner with forty or so of our relatives in the area. The hotel itself is relatively new and very elegant with a gorgeous pool area. The restaurant features primarily Filipino food. For other options, the nearby South Mall which is just down the road has a lot of options for every budget. Parking is free and plentiful. A couple of notes for travelers seeking a luxury experience, the spa wasn't operating during our visit, the sports bar is only open Fri & Sat, and the high end restaurant (Mignon) only operates on special occasions. But for us and the family who traveled with us or visited, the experience was warm and memorable.

Room tip: For more dining options, just walk or take a short drive to the nearby South Mall.

let's meet at this hotel

we did an event here in December of 2023. we are thankful they accommodated our request despite the short notice.

the food was great. the wait staff was courteous and attentive. the audio system was superb as well as the internet connection.

the only thing that prevented me from giving this hotel a perfect rating was the restroom near the function halls. since there were simultaneous events going on, the toilets looked like a war zone and smelled kinda funny. this should be given more care when a crowd is expected.

i have yet to try their accommodation in the future, though.

A quiet resting and leisure spot in the middle of a bustling city

I haven't had the pleasure of staying here yet, but I am actually enjoying their breakfast buffet now. The spread is very simple, but the food is very good, particularly their pastries. Service Staff are warm and accommodating, and the atmosphere is very relaxing - a true "home away from home" right smack in the middle of the City of Las Piñas!

Though I can literally walk home from here, I will have no qualms about staying a night or two - the rooms are clean and the amenities seem to be comfortable (which I am sure they are), so a follow-up review is sure to come.

The price for the buffet is very reasonable, so if you are in the city and want a place to rest and eat, I highly recommend this place - and that is coming from a former Hotelier.

Room tip: Alabang-Zapote Road is legendary for its traffic almost any day of the week, any time of the day, but the Excelsior is a great relief in and of itself.

Hotel review

Ammenities are great and staff are very helpful. I just hope that the food choices for the bfast buffet improve. The selection was very limited and repeated most days. Over all experience is very positive
