I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, BECAUSE NO ONE WILL
Father's day breakfast buffet. I was reaching for the stars. Expecting great with hotel setting. To my disappointing heartache...
Upon entry to the hall. We are politely greeted ny seating host. Do you have reservations? I said none we'll do walk-ins. Wait staff told us let me find a seat. Whilst waiting i was checking the buffet line. I immediately noticed unreplenished trays and chafdings. I told the wait staff haven't you replenished yet? You started 6am and it's already 8am.
There's a looooong line at COS egg station. I went straight to the salad. I was hoping for a good one, hey, it's morning. All i saw was letttuce, small tomatoe, croutons, cucumber sliced and shredded carrots, plus two sour caesar and thousand island dressings.
I sat my plate to our tahle and went fast to get bread station of corn bread, truffles pancakes and brushcettas. The egg station is still on loong lines. I went to my table and replaced my sweets
I went back to get some coffee, was hoping for a dark roast or brewed coffee it was light and sour. I'm so lucky to ge the apple juice on my first attempt because the juice was not replenished until after 30+ mins plus. I have called attention of staffs.
To my left was a couple [pinay and eastern european lad] i overheard him complainingz what am complaining about here now. That the food should be arriving continuously, and the wai staffs should be checking on tables immediately also.
How fortunate as i was falling in line for my omellete, near to the chefs station the foreigner was to my side and asked politely can i scoot over and grab some ham? I told him, i over heard you and complaining, he laughly said yes it was terrible! I told him look at me am still in line for my eggs.
The food is so average on taste, im worried with the slightly premium raw materials used preparing the food. The menu has to be reviewed and changed. I made two atrempts to chat with your social media presence on Facebook messenger. I was asking for the menu of both breakfast and dinner buffets, i was answered arrogantly, it is chef discretion. Now, I'm telling you with 6 months running a buffet, the chat assistant or receptiom should have asked the chef whats are menu for today, considering you are running almost a year. Was the menu not forecasted as hospitality industry it's a must! I have to go to YouTube, thanks to vloggers i saw some of what was being served. I tell you know you should have a clip or short film showcasing the buffet than us will be guessing what I'm expecting. To think this affair is Saturday and Sunday only and occasional holidays.
The whole thing was all about the undersstaff in a rushly breakfast hour that includes non reservation and walk ins. I can tell the hall can seat 200+ hut the staffs is less than 10 on the floor. I saw thje banquet manager step in arounf 9ish just to keep w/the pace, ugh ugh it's not enough.
I'm very worried for DINNER SERVICE every weekends! The deal is at 550 which was sliced from real price of 880. I wonder if service and quanitty of food will be satisfying.
