Four of us had the sea bass which was an absolute triumph. Fries, mashed potatoes and an excellent serving of fresh seasonal vegetables added to the dining experience. Chenin Blanc very good as were the French coffees. Attentive staff.

We have visited Baia before, last time Christmas 2016. We loved it then and were not disappointed this time. We booked earlier in the day and were given great table for 2 overlooking the Marina and Table Mountain. The Seafood Platter is ‘historic’ - beautifully presented and piled high with grilled prawns, calamari, mussels and fish. The wine list is extensive so no problem finding your favourite SA wine. Our waiter (Russian) was very attentive and we were served in good time considering that this is a busy restaurant. I would recommend always booking a table as early as possible as the restaurant is popular especially at week-ends and holidays.

As it was Good Friday, my wife kindly booed this restaurant for me. She also asked if she could get a Waterfront view. What we got was probably not the Waterfront view she expected but rather the best of Table Mountain in the restaurant. As the restaurant does not open until 6.30pm, it meant we could watch the sun disappearing over the back of Table Mountain.
We started off with cocktails of Mojito and Martini. We then had half dozen oyster, Pernod Lobster and Prawn Cocktail for starters. For mains I had the special of three baby lobsters and my wife had the selection of Tre Pesca which is three varieties of local fish each providing different tastes and textures. All of this was washed down with two bottles of Sparkling water and a bottle of Chenin Blanc (Ken Forrester Reserve)
Very enjoyable meal with sensational ambience

Having pre-booked a table before we arrived in Cape Town we were pleased to be sat at a window table overlooking the V&A waterfront. We both had tuna for starters and the trio of fish for mains which were beautifully cooked and presented.

We came across Baia when we were walking around the Waterfront. As we were inappropriately dressed we went back to our guest house and returned for dinner as they had a spare table. The service was exceptional and the food was lovely too, albeit not cheap. The seafood is superb. Also my husband’s chateaubriand was delicious. The location is lovely and this restaurant is definitely worth trying.
