Divine Japanese seafood. Attention to detail was amazing as was the service provided. The beautiful setting at The One and Only hotel made our Christmas lunch very special.

Stayed at The one and only last week, ate at Nobu twice, each time it was very very good.
Beautifully presented, and prepared, perfect portion sizes, and dark and intimate setting, very glamorous!
Staff were very helpful and knew the dishes on the menu well.

Very classy and stylish design. But still somewhat disappointed. I have been several times to Nobu in Melbourne and each time was left with a wow experience. The Cape Town Nobu is OK but did not convince me in terms of price quality relationship.. Sorry

Nobu is a Japanese restaurant situated at The One & Only Hotel near the V&A Waterfront. We met up with friends and had some amazing mojito's in the hotel bar to start and then headed into Nobu for our reservation. We are personally very familiar with Japanese cuisine (being New Zealanders) and so the menu was no trouble for us, however, our English friends struggled a little bit to decide what they wanted, and in the end we all opted for Bento Boxes, which included a little bit of everything. The menu is straightforward and has a fairly wide range of food to choose from, and the drinks menu is excellent for cocktails (although there was only a choice of 3 imported Japanese beers). Overall the service was attentive and the food was good, although we did find it overpriced compared to NZ where Japanese food is widespread and of a very high standard. We had an absolutely great night and the venue is quite flash if you like that kind of thing. And you'll need to know how to handle chop sticks.

One night we couldn't find anywhere to eat, so decided to eat in the one and lonely. The only good thing about Nobu is the cocktails and friendly staff.. The place has lost its charm, in London as well. It seems to have turned into some sort of Benihana type place. Anyway if you like Nobu and your from London, eat here as its very very cheap.
