Such a busy, happy, but loud place; we find ourselves here at least once during our annual trip to Cape Town. Good and varied menu especially the “finger food which is excellent value for huge portions. Very good selection of beers and lagers for the men and local wine for the ladies...or vice versa ! Never boring at Mitchell’s.

Needed a break and something to eat, so popped into Mitchell's.

The place was empty upstairs and not really that busy downstairs either.

Server was pleasant, but very slow. After the meal he was pestering for a big tip, which he may have got if he had not asked so blatantly.

Meal took quite some time.

Two of the group had fish and chips which were OK. Two had the steak, which was a little tough, but none the less quite tasty. The last person had nachos which were huge and rather unappealing, this person left hungry as it was inedible.

The room upstairs has several screens with different sports showing, which at least gave us something to watch while we waited.

The drinks side of our trip was excellent, Draft Guinness.

Looking for a cold one on a hot day this was the 1st "pub" we saw.

Browsing through the menu with a draft in the hand the food looked appealing and we placed a order. What a pleasant surprise to have such a tasty meal at a brewery. Presentation made it even more attentive and portions were more than enough

Only downside the price of the on tap beers and ciders.

This place is busy all day! Always a great sign. Good range of beers on offer, fair prices and good pizza. Well worth popping into as you enter the V&A Wharf area.

Had drinks here a few nights running. Great atmosphere and always seems busy. The food menu looked good but we did not eat there.
