In the middle of St Lucia you will find this calm place, where you can relax, be well treated and helped. The surrounding is absolutely to see and I suggest a snorkeling-tour !! Hippos can be seen at the river.

We stayed at Lidiko lodge for three nights whilst exploring Isimangaliso wetlands . Everything about our stay was perfect. We were very comfortable in our lovely room, and the lodge itself is relaxed and tranquil with lush green gardens and a delightful pool area. The lodge is perfectly located in town to walk to restaurants in the evening and is also an easy walk from where most of the estuary tours depart from. Breakfast was excellent and staff recommended restaurants for dinner and all staff were very friendly and efficient. Our host Kerry was fantastic in responding to enquiries prior to our visit and booked all of our activities for us within a couple of hour of my first contact with her. Kerry was also very lovely when we met her and appeared genuinely interested in her guests. St Lucia is a lovely town, and the area has a lot to offer, some of which we were not able to explore during this trip. When we return to St Lucia we will certainly stay in Lidiko lodge and would certainly highly recommend this lodge.

We stayed here for 3 nights and thought it was very good. Nice room with a big bathroom & really good shower. Parking. Friendly and helpful staff. They were happy to make recommendations and book things for you such as the Hippo and Crocodile Safari which was excellent. Very good breakfast. Just a short walk into town where there were various restaurants - the lodge staff were happy to book tables for you and make sure you got a good one outside or whatever. It was very hot and humid when we were there (however, the room had excellent air-con). Great swimming pool - not large but good to sit by and cool off in. Honesty bar which was fine but as they locked the central building at 9.00 pm, you couldn't access it after that so needed to plan ahead or visit the supermarket in the daytime if you wanted to sit on your veranda after dinner. Everything shuts down pretty early - most of the restaurants closed around 9.30. The town isn't big and you can walk around easily. Felt very safe apart from coming across a huge hippo in the street on our way home which actually just carried on eating grass at the side of the road and ignored us completely although we didn't go too near! There's a lovely beach in St. Lucia which we went to and sunbathed - it was pretty deserted but strong currents meant you couldn't actually swim, just paddle. We liked St. Lucia and this lodge and would recommend the water safari. 3 nights was probably enough as it is a small place.

We spent 2 nights in this lodge and were positively surprized of the staffs friendlyness, esecially Priscilla. She and some other stuff performed as beautiful dance and songs one morning. Thx for that.
Breakfast was ok, take care of the monkeys. They loved the breakfast too!
We surely will come back one day. Thx to the staff and management.

Room Tip: Close to the pool

Dear Robert, thank you for a great review. We are indeed very proud of our team at Lidiko Lodge. Priscilla had been with us since our start 15 years ago and we consider her our own Woopy Goldberg. We indeed have quite a bit of stock losses due to the monkeys
We hope to see you soon again.

Where else can you get charming, faultless accommodation with everything you need, while stepping out to find a hippo on the lawn? I really enjoyed the setting in tropical gardens facing an inner courtyard pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
