We needed a one night stopover after a 10 hour drive and spotted this Hotel, on the river which it certainly is Elephants drinking and all.
It’s new with about 15 rooms, ground and 1st floor.
Spotless and very friendly reception and staff.
Great pool overlooking the crocodile river with bar, limited but adequate dinner menu and we took our own wine, because of Covid lockdown
Perfect thank you.

This is a "budget" hotel that surpasses all ones expectations!!! Superb location on the riverbank, clean rooms, great facilities, superb staff. From arrival to departure we felt welcome and appreciated. If you want 5 star dining and Four poster beds....go somewhere else. If you want a great nights sleep, good honest dinner (limited choices but it's good grub!!!) and have no injury to your wallet... Book here. You'll have the added bonus of watching Hippos, crocodiles and maybe even elephants as you enjoy breakfast.

This newly built budget hotel is simple yet sits on a beautiful site overlooking the river with a spectacular view of Kruger. Bring your binoculars! All the rooms open on to a common patio/balcony walkway overlooking the pool area which overlooks the river so one isn't better/worse than the others. The room was very clean. Mini fridge in the room is great to have. Bring your own shampoo, soap etc as there didn't appear to be any in the room. Bedding is very simple but clean. If you are planning to eat in the restaurant you need to let them know as the restaurant is not always open and they do not have a liquor license so be sure to bring your own in advance. Good restaurants are close by (within 5 -7 minute drive). Well located and within about a 10 minute drive to Kruger gate. Parking is within a secured wall and feels safe. Pricing is very fair making this property an overall good value for the money and a good home base for a budget minded Kruger trip.

Room tip: Ask for an upper room for a slightly better view

This is a GREAT place! And you will not regret your visit!
The hotel is next to the Crocodile River and on the other side of the river you look directly into the Kruger Park. Actually the fens of Kruger park is just under the hotel terrace. Therefore you sometimes have the animals walking just in front of you - cool!
You can't look out from the big terrace with the sun deck and restaurant without seeing animals. We saw elefant families, rhinos, hippos, different types of monkeys, waterbucks, wild boars, impalas, lots of different birds and off cause crocodiles - just from the terrace .-)
Riverview Inn has few rooms and you easily feel at home with the friendly and smiling staff.
We stayed for 1 week (2 really nice rooms) on the ground level next to the terrace/ restaurant/pool area - and we really loved it.
The place is new (2019) and well kept.
The restaurant is simple but the food tasts nice.
I guess our only little comment would be regarding the kitchen - it takes quite some time for even simple things.
By the way - you only have 5 minutes(by car) to the Malelane entrance gate to Kruger. We did walking/car trips. Sometime we just drove in by our self as many others and saw the same amount of animals as on the groupe trips.

Room tip: All rooms face the terrace and Kruger Park

Spent a night at thisittle gem before entering the park. We were welcomed by friendly staff. Large comfortable clean room. Amazing view from the dining deck. Breakfast was good value for money. Don't as yet have a liquor licence but no problem if you bring your own
