“Fantastic, highly recommended!”
Review of Safaris for Africa

Safaris for Africa
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

From the first email we sent all the way to our flight home Sue and the team at Safari’s for Africa really looked after us. We chose to book with Safaris for Africa as they responded timely to emails, took notice of the type of holiday we were seeking, and came up with a fantastic 10 day itinerary which was just what we wanted.

Safaris for Africa organised some fantastic accommodation for us at the coast in Umhlanga, at private game reserve Bayala Lodge and at St Lucia national heritage nature reserve. We had seamless transfers with additional game viewing, and lots of personal touches that made us feel very special and spoilt. It was certainly a great trip to remember, full of fabulous scenery, amazing wildlife, spectacular beaches, great food and great people. We came to celebrate my 50th birthday – returned feeling more like 40!

Sue Garson from Safaris for Africa organised a fantastic safari for myself and two friends.
We visited Hluhluwe/ Umfolozi Game Reserve, The Cheetah Sanctuary, St Lucia Wetlands Park, Cape Vidal and Phinda Game Reserve. Two overnight stays and a boat trip on St Lucia estuary + an early morning game drive were included. It was a magical experience and has left us with wonderful memories of Africa.

Sue Garson and her team from “Safaris for Africa” helped us to organize one of the best holidays ever. With a personnel touch, the right sense for their guests and great knowledge about the best places to explore and to stay, Safaris for Africa is a perfect choice for your trip to South Africa.
After a couple of days in Cape Town, our trip to the winelands in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek was a fantastic experience and we enjoyed a full day with our guide Carel and relaxed two nights in Peter Hall’s guest house in Franschhoek.
But the best was yet to come: our five-days safari in the private game reserve of Phinda. We stayed at Rock and Vlei Lodge experienced the wonderful nature and (almost) the big five. The lodges are fantastic, guides, staff and rangers are lovely and the wildlife is awesome!
Thanks to Sue and her team for all your recommendations, your support and your kindness!
All the best,
Dirk & Sigrun

What can is say,we had a holiday of a life time! we went to SA in October of last year to visit family and were based in Durban with our 3 children aged 5, 7 and 9 and we wanted to spend our second week on safari, we booked with Safaris for Africa on a 2 night 3 day tour. We were picked up from our hotel early and were met and greeted by Sue personally and our tour guide Fred. Sue wanted to make sure everything was planned to meticulous detail. We set off for our 3 hour journey north from Umshlangha to Hluhluwe Imfolozi nature reserve, even though the journey was pretty long for the children Fred made it really interesting and kept the children entertained and provided all of us with loads of facts about SA and the nature reserves. We arrived at the nature reserve and spent the afternoon with Fred exploring and our expectations were blown away we saw so much wildlife, we thought we would need to go to Kruger to see as much as we did. Late afternoon we travelled to our private reserve and lodge Bayala, which Sue had selected for us. The lodge was beautiful and we were greeted personally by the manager, the The following morning we had morning drive in our own private land rover (Sue had arranged for just the 5 of us!) it was fantastic, the highlights were the young lions and the young male cheetahs and we saw them stalk, hunt and kill a zebra - never thought we would ever experience that - we had a further 2 drives one evening and had a picnic. The following day Fred picked us up again and we went on a river safari in St Lucia and saw hippos. Not a lot we didn't see!. This holiday was fantastic well arranged by Sue who was so attentive and Fred who was so informative, we have got so many life memories we will never forget. Would totally recommend - Sue will ensure your trip is a success - Thank you so much Sue

Had a great day trip out ,to the Giants castle and rock art ,with safaris of Africa Sue/Peter really make this a really memorable trip. The day is an early start from my pick up in Umhlanga ,then a long drive through some scenic and wonderful countryside of the Drakensberg region to the Ukhahlamba park and the giants castle area. After dropping off the car,its about a 45 min walk through the valley with some great scenery ,along the track to the huge outstanding Giants castle, and the short climb up to the cave/rock art by the local San bushmen. Our local guide explained the history of the bushmen paintings ,which are very old indeed and carefully looked after by the local/tribe . there are two main sections which you can go up to and read, take some photos and learn the historic value of these proud ancient people. The trail back down and to the valley ,also has some very historical areas, settlements of the British army who came through this part of Africa during the Zulu wars . There is Some great outstanding picturesque scenery, around this park and it was a great day out , enjoyable and well worth the trip ... This is the second of two trips taken with this firm, and have enjoyed there professional and friendly advise during , the Giants castle and Sani pass tours .. well done , thanks a lot .
