I went here for a concert and also for just strolling around. What a place. Entry fee is acceptable for what you get to enjoy in the gardens. I took a picnic there one afternoon and was able to relax looking over Cape Town with Table Mountain and Devils Peak in the back ground

I really enjoyed the flora & fauna walking tour around the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful to see all the gorgeous gardens.

I visited Kirstenbosch Gardens twice in the past three weeks, once with a friend from overseas and again with my niece from New Zealand. I have lived in Cape Town for the past seventeen years and have visited the Gardens too many times to remember, sometimes to see the Summer Concerts, sometimes for a picnic or birthday celebration or simply to view the sculptures and stroll through the breathtaking landscape breathing in the splendour and serenity of the place. Kirstenbosch has something to offer through all seasons and with Table Mountain as the backdrop, there's no better place to spend a couple of hours at least. My last visit with my niece was to visit the Centenary Tree Canopy Walkway in the Arboretum. It's an uphill walk to reach it and I was impressed how beautifully constructed it is, blending in with the landscape. One literally walks through a canopy of trees and in spite of the amazing views, the walkway itself isn't that high. To fully appreciate the view, be sure to visit on a clear day. My only regret is that it isn't longer.

Beautifully manicured gardens with stunning species of plants. The new tree canopy walkway was thrilling to walk on high up in the trees with a stunning view of the mountains and also the gardens below.

Definitely worth another visit as the gardens are vast and there is so much to see.

So quiet, one could hear the silence - divine!
