“Gets you from point A to B”
Review of Queen Cafe VIP Bus

Queen Cafe VIP Bus

After reading the reviews, we were concerned but since we had already booked the bus we figured we'd hope for the best, and honestly are happy we weren't scared off!

We've been traveling through Asia for 3 months now and have taken all kinds of transportation, and we felt this was an average bus service for this part of the world (if you go in having expectations as you would in Europe or America, just turn around, it's not going to be a pleasant experience!).

The bus was older, yes. Some seats were broken, and definitely not the cleanest bus. The workers didn't speak any English but answered our own question through google translate. The only local that they allowed in before everyone else was a man with two younger children traveling with him, then it was the usual elbow your way in. Also,at no point during our drive from Sapa to Hanoi did we feel unsafe. The driver drove as most bus drivers do around here, and honked only when was necessary.

All in all, it was an okay drive to get from point A to point B in 6 hours. Nothing fancy but nothing bad either.

Aggressive staff. Let all the locals on the bus first and kicked me out of my seat half way to give it to a local who they just let on the bus. Everyone who worked on the bus was really aggressive.

Please avoid this company at all costs!

Travelling as a group of four from Sapa to Hanoi Airport overnight. Bought our tickets through an agent in Hanoi who told us we would get dropped at the airport just outside Hanoi. Confirmed this with the driver when getting the bus in Hanoi.

After having to wait stood in the rain for the drivers to load cargo on to the bus, we left Sapa late. The bus itself was rundown and dirty. Very hot throughout the journey. Driver was rude and played music on his phone throughout.

At around 02:15 we were told to get off as we were at the airport. After seeing we were approximately 4km from the airport and being dropped in an empty and dark car park in the middle of nowhere - we asked the driver to drop us at the airport as we discussed when buying the ticket. Driver very rude and took ages to convince him to drop us at the airport.

He drove on but actually continued to drive further away from the airport. He then tried to kick us out at a motorway toll to which we again asked him to drop us at the airport given the fact we were now further away from the airport than before. After speaking with the rude driver for a few minutes, he closed the door and drove off continuing towards Hanoi with us still on the bus getting further away from the airport.

Finally begged the driver to let us off before we ended up back in Hanoi. He let us off the bus about 6km from the Airport on the side of a motorway at about 02:30. He told us to get a taxi to the airport but that proved very difficult. The driver was laughing at us and had no sympathy or helpful attitude in any way possible. A local man tried to help translate given then language barrier with the bus driver but to no avail.

After walking along the motorway to the toll station and trying to plead with the staff to help, we waited for a taxi to pass (very unlikely given the hour and location - how many taxis just randomly drive round empty on motorways at that time?!) We ended up all walking along the motorway which was very dangerous and found a random man in his car who drove us to the airport for 200,000 Viet Dong.

All in all, this company offered an awful service that was unsafe and outright rude.

Please avoid them! If only we had read all previous reviews before booking that seem to complain of multiple similar situations!

Rude driver
Dirty bus
Had to wait one hour because the bus was too late.

Ask the so called travel agencies who actually performs the transfer!

16hrs night bus. Turned up and arrived on time. Changed bus in Hue and only had to wait 15 minutes. Everyone had their own bed and there was no one sleeping on the floor. Clean and comfortable. Working toilet and two shop and toilet breaks during the journey. WiFi worked. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great way to travel for the price.
