The hotel is a little run down and in need of a face lift. The room is basically clean but the electrics are not the best. Shower pressure is not great but hot water works. There is construction work in progress all around the hotel so noisy and dusty everywhere. The staff seem friendly and willing. The security safe in the room is freestanding so not really effective. Take your own tea and coffee. There a loads of good places to eat or grab a beer close by.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the mountains or else you end up looking at a construction site.

The hotel is in a good location with great views. The whole place is tired but clean.
We did a lot of walking in relentless rain. We returned to a cold room and there was no where to dry our clothes and boots. Reception said use the hair dryer.
The super bar across the road had a log burner - Hmong Sisters and let us dry out there.

A visit to Sapa is a must, when visiting Vietnam. Its a quaint, rural and unsophisticated village. Its such a different pace of life to the cities. Bamboo Sapa hotel is a old fashioned building, needs updating, but very adequate at the same time.Big rooms, high ceilings and good sized bathroom (a good bath)' All very clean. Lighting was very poor, wall lights on the wall opposite the double bed, very poor for reading. The dining room was ok, but not glam ours. The food for breakfast ( all I had in the hotel)was adequate but not exceptional. More cereals, better choice of breads etc would be great

This was a 2 night stay during a tour, as such I don't know the price of the hotel as it was in with the package.
The hotel has an unassuming visage, but is very pleasant inside. The rooms are very spacious, with the ones at the back having balconies that look over the hillside.
The air con works well enough, the bed was a little firm, but very, very, very big. Seriously, it looked like a 5 person bed. It is wider than it is long.
The bathroom was fine, and the shower was adequate.
Breakfast is an eclectic mix of things the Vietnamese think Europeans eat, and rice and noodles and such.
Overall, I thoroughly recommend it.
