This was beautiful! The tour guide had a funny dry sense of humor and had tons of information! It was a great way to spend an hour and a half!

Thank you for visiting the Gardens, we have been blessed with such a great guest. Our tour guides always try to give a fun and interesting tour of the tongass rainforest. The guides study so guest can enjoy all the beauty Alaska has to offer.

I did not read TripAdvisor reviews before our tour (as I usually do) so was astonished to learn this is not a typical botanical garden! My daughter (50) and I (75) enjoyed the tour very much, and would go again.

She was a bit alarmed by the open trams with no side rails used to reach the observation point; the roads made of logs looked a bit scary! I use a walker and was not expecting a short uphill climb on gravel to the tram, but it was possible. Our bus driver said the tour guides had wheelchairs if needed.

I do wish we had more time to take photographs of the interesting upside-down trees, and more time in the gift shop. We were on a Princess excursion (first ship to Alaska in 2021 after Covid) that was 45 minutes late starting out because the ship was late arriving, so our time at the Gardens is likely not typical.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the lovely mug I bought in the gift shop was carefully wrapped for transit. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

The only way to experience this place is to pay for an expensive trolley tour which you have to do in order to go to the café.

Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure was designed for guest with limited mobility a chance to enjoy the Tongass forest. The guided tour takes guest on a two mile path through the tongass where your guide gives a informative and fun tour. The tour through the rainforest is included in our Entrance fee, along with admission to the Visitors Center and lower Gardens. It is difficult to convey that we are a tour and there is a charge to enter, apologies for the confusion. Juneau has many wonderful places to walk or hike I hope you found one that was what you were looking for. We are all so grateful for all the wonderful people that have traveled to Juneau, thank you.

Huge disappointment. You will spend less than an hour touring the garden. It’s way over priced and the shop is super expensive. Definitely a tourist trap. The two elder ladies working inside have ZERO customer service. They do NOT like children here. You will be a pulsed if you do anything thing they don’t like. They will follow you around making you feel uncomfortable. I would suggest not to go

Thank you for touring the Gardens, it is dissappointing that it was not what you expected. The tour of the Tongass rainforest is about a 45 min, but we always start with the live feed of the Eagles nest and a introduction on why someone would turn a tree upside down. From the reclamation of a stream, through rainforest up to the veiw of the Gastineu channel the tour guides work hard to give a fun and informative tour. We do keep an eye on children, the flowers are irrreplacable. Our floors are hard and running is prohibited, sorry if we seem a bit over protective at times. We try to keep the Gift shop with unique items that are not avaiable else where in Juneau. Thank you for your input, Juneau appreciates all the wonderful visitors who have taken the time to enjoy our little part of Alaska.

It was cute, but I wouldn’t do it again. Maybe slow down and take stops so that pictures can be taken. You advertise move than an hour of a tour; and we were done before the hour. If you take some time to pause and allow us to get out to take pictures, it would be worth it to come again.

Thank you for visiting the Gardens, the rainforest part of our tour is a 45 min ride. Our tours start in the visitors center with a live veiw of our Eagles nest and wonderful array of flowers. Then a introduction of how the gardens started, from the stream reclamation, to the Flower Towers. When on the path to the boardwalk and down for safety reasons we can not stop or allow guest to leave the vehicle. We have found the avarage stay is about 1 1/2 hours which includes time to enjoy the visitors center and the lower gardens. Juneau appreciates all the wonderful visitors who have come in this tough time, and we want to thank you very much.
