What an absolute treat. Nothing to fault here, Vicki was there to greet us, absolutely lovely lady. The bungalows are proudly located right on the beach and it was so peaceful and tranquil. Spotless and every thing that was needed was there and more. Absolutely loved it
We have just returned from a 7-day stay, our second time at Paparei Bungalows, and again, we had a wonderful time here. Paparei offers two lovely little one bedroom units side by side on the very edge of the beach on the sunset side of the lagoon. The units are situated in picturesque gardens and are attractively finished, comfortable, clean and well-appointed, with all the fittings and comfort you would expect of a quality motel. There is air con and all the windows and doors are screened. The beach is very private as there only a few other small private properties nearby, and the view from the units is amazing - just palm trees, white sand and the tranquil lagoon. You are literally on the beach in 10 steps from the deck. The beach here is not great for swimming as it is very shallow, but it is a wonderful place to relax, and good swimming spots are a short scooter ride away. There are loungers, a BBQ hut and picnic table, and a well equipped kitchen inside if you want to self-cater. Paparei is well-located along the main road, but nothing is too far away on Aitutaki and a scooter takes you everywhere you want to go. Nowhere on Aitutaki is crowded or busy. The owners of Paparei live on site in their own beautiful home, they take great care of the whole property and look after their guests very well. This is simply the best place to stay!
Had 3 wonderful nights in this gorgeous little beachfront bungalow. The hammock & loungers were very relaxing, as is the little deck, where you can watch the sunset & eat your breakfast. Vicki picked us up from the airport & dropped us back & was so very helpful. Vicki even left a jar of homemade pawpaw jam, in the fridge for us. Had lunch at Koru café, which was yummy.
Wow what more can we say. We stayed 3 nights at the Paparei bungalows, which are situated right on the beach amazing location. Peter and Vikki ensured our stay was perfect, attending to booking tours and restaurants for us. Fantastic hosts for a fantastic holiday.

Its hard to beat these 2 beach bungalows for 2 couples traveling together. They're very private and are right on the beach. We took the 4 lounge chairs down to the sandy beach on several occasions especially for sunset. Vicki and Peter, the parents of the owners, picked us up at the airport and stopped by the Aquila car rental shop before escorting us to the property. They were very sweet and gave us numerous tips on Aitutaki. Their daughter, Trina, usually manages these units, but during our stay she was busy running their excellent Koru Cafe (which by the way has wonderful food). Paparei is conveniently located on the West side of the island where most of the resorts and restaurants are. Its easy to let time go by slowly here as there was really no reason to get moving too early. Loved that! Each bungalow has a covered veranda big enough for us to have 4 chairs and lounge during the short rainstorms. The interior was comfortable too although we spent little time there. We purchased some bandwidth from Blue Sky Internet and were able to connect at Paparei. We'd love to go back to this quaint little island paradise.
