The Perfect place to relax

Peter and Vicki are just fantastic. Really welcoming, and helpful, but not intrusive. Greeted us at the airport with a Lei (I'm not sure if that is correct in Cook Island language) before the short drive to the bungalows. They are truly amazing/Breath taking. Great advice on what to do, where to go. Peter showed me how to Husk a coconut. They both are more than happy to help you with everything. On our last day, Vicki let us stay in the bungalow until our departing flight at 7pm, where she drove us to the airport..

I'll be back, without a doubt

My family returned to Aitutaki after 23 years for a week of fun and relaxation. Vicki and Peter were considerate and gracious hosts, adding to the fabulous week. Vicki met us at the airport with a beautiful lei, a warm hug...delicious marmalade, fruit and bread welcomed us in the bungalow. She advised us on many eateries and other activities. The bungalows are well built, very clean, consistent hot water and comfortable beds. The kitchenette had a large electric frying pan and a microwave, allowing us to eat in a few meals. The two bungalows made for a memorable stay in paradise

From the lei greeting on arrival to the goodbye hug, Vicki and Peter are great hosts. Vicki always makes sure guests are comfortable and have what they need, including making bookings. There's daily maid service, and linens are changed every few days. There's free drinking water and plenty of solar-heated hot water. The bungalows are spacious, well-built, and have ceiling fans. There's a separate bedroom, making it very comfortable for a couple. Best of all, they're located right on the beach with a view of sunset over the amazing Aitutaki lagoon.

Room tip: There are two bungalows, both overlooking the lagoon.

Just returned from an incredible 2 week trip to the Cook Islands. We spent the first 3 nights at Paparei Bungalows on Aitutaki and it was paradise! The bungalow was very clean with lovely decor and gorgeous property right on the beach with stunning sunset views. Vicki and Peter treated us like royalty from the fresh fruit to Vicki's homemade jams and baked goods and incredibly kind support of our every need. Aitutaki is like no other place we've been and we would return to stay at Paparei in a heartbeat!

Room tip: Both bungalows are equally fantastic with direct beachfront access and awesome views.

My mother and myself stayed here for 2 nights after a week in Phuket. The hotel was very nice and the facilities were great.

The buffet at the restaurant was very good value for money with a large selection of dishes.

The rooms were pleasant with a large bathroom. The bed head however was rather grubby (stained).

The only criticism I have is when we went for dinner in the restaurant we were told because we didn't order the buffet that table water would not be provided and we had to buy bottled water with our meal. This was not the case in Phuket or anywhere else in the world I've travelled so I found it a bit strange if not rude you would offer table water to some dinner guests but not all. Everyone is paying either way for their meals!

Overall though an enjoyable stay =)

We had a wonderful stay at Paparei Bungalows. They have everything you need and then some. Fresh fruit, baked goodies, homemade chutney and jam. Good recommendations and even booked our scooter, lagoon cruise and dinner reservation for us. Sadly we did not have the opportunity to meet Vickie and Peter because of a family matter but Mati and Tai took wonderful care of us.
