My wife and I absolutely loved Nayara Springs! Nestled within a beautiful rainforest with an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano, it is not only aesthetically one of the most beautiful resorts that we have stayed at; but the service was absolutely top notch. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and provided assistance and accommodations whenever we asked. We did the wine pairing dinner at the wine bar on the property; and it was definitely worth it; the sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, and the pairings were perfect (not to mention the food was great). The room that we stayed in within the villas, was nothing less than gorgeous. We loved having our own private plunge pool and being able to be secluded an immersed in the beautiful surrounding. It was one of the most relaxing experiences that we've been able to share as a couple; and I would strongly recommend to others, especially those looking for a romantic honeymoon. If you want access to excursions, the resort is centrally located and has access what seems like every excursion in the Arenal Area. We booked a package of excursions through the resort (upon our arrival) that allowed us to visit the Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall and the Tabacon Hot Springs. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took incredible photographs for us that we will always treasure. This was an overall phenomenal experience that we will never forget.

Room Tip: The Villas are great, the higher up rooms have access to a nice arboretum.

After reading many positive reviews of Nayara Springs, we decided to splurge. Fantastic in every way and the staff is happy to ensure your stay meets your expectations. We enjoyed our Villa plunge pool in the early morning and before bed. Take advantage of the tours they offer. The guides are professional and many of them are door to door experiences. We especially liked Ecotermales - hot springs close by with full bar and restaurant to complete the evening. Also, the full day tour of Cano Negro includes lunch on a working Finca (farm). The owner cooked lunch on a wood stove and we saw an abundance of wild life - including Howler monkeys , several toucans & 3 crocs. Of course, there is no guarantee wild life will entertain you on your visit.

Room Tip: The view of Arenel volcano doesn't get much better from Villa 18.

We spent 5 days here for our honeymoon and we were so sad to leave! The people, the atmosphere, and the food are all beyond measure. Absolute luxury is an understatement. The villas were so beautiful and so well equipped that you could spend your entire trip in the villa and not feel like you were missing out. Love the private plunge pool with hot springs water! Every activity we did was unbelievable! The ladies at the spa perfectly satisfy your every need, and the guides for excursions are completely professional while adding a dose of fun to your trip. It was such a pleasure to get to practice our Spanish, speaking with the people here every day.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here in August 2018. It was the absolute perfect place to honeymoon! We were looking for something relaxing and private. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. In fact, we only left the grounds once our entire trip! We enjoyed our private villa with the beautiful infinity pool and we also enjoyed going to the pool bar as well! The restaurants on site were delicious! We never had a bad meal! But overall, the best part of this place is the excellent service. Everyone that works here is so incredibly friendly and helpful! Would definitely come back! Hopefully soon!

Room Tip: Get a private villa with an infinity pool! Totally worth it!

My husband and I went here for the second half of our honeymoon. It was overall a great place to stay!

The good:
Adults only, so very quiet!
Small property, so not crowded
5 different restaurants to choose from, quality of food was excellent
LOVED Asia Luna restaurant. Sushi and Sake!
Plunge pool private for each villa.
Outdoor shower was an experience!
Pool has swim up bar
The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The few things that went wrong (see below) were quickly rectified by them. They spoke really good English, and their native Spanish was easy to follow.
Tons of wildlife on the property- sloths, birds, frogs, an armadillo
Spa treatments were AMAZING! Treatment area was open air with rainforest view and sounds of birds and water. The massages were so good we booked 2! I had the volcano clay and hot stone massage, and foot reflexology. Probably the best massages I've had on vacation!
Staff were very good about food allergies. I am celiac, and have to avoid gluten. They modified meals for me and double confirmed all ingredients.
The tours are a must! We had Ana V. for our lava hike and frog tour, and Alex as the driver. Both were a joy to be around. They stopped and pointed out sloths and toucans on the way to our tours, and Ana was amazing at taking up close photos with our iPhones that looked very professional!
Definitely recommend!

Things to note:
There was construction going on next to and within the property, but they were accommodating to move us to a villa further away from the noise. Our new room didn't hear any noise, but you could hear it from the spa and the "quiet" adult pool.
The plunge pools in the villas are cold unless you request them to be warmed up. You have to request this every day. You cannot control the temp yourself. Even then it was warm and not hot.
Our room smelled musty, which is understandable being in the rainforest.
The gluten free bread could be improved. I am appreciative of them even having it as an option, but I could tell it was previously frozen and just ok. We stayed at the Four Seasons before Nayara, and their GF bread was amazing and light and had a good crust.
