I'm a person who loves nature and the outdoors. This place fits me perfectly in that regard. The setting is incredible; we listened to the birds and howler monkeys and marveled at the great variety of beautiful plants and animals (even a three toed sloth). Our room was a private cottage - that was great. The food at the on campus restaurant was very good (not great). The staff was very courteous and friendly. The WIFI was only available in a few public places - that was a minor issue. However, for me, being in the midst of nature overcame any shortcomings.

Stayed at the wonderful Montana De Fuego. Excellent customer support from Ana, Isabelle n Minerva. Great food and excellent lodging. Rooms do need Wi-Fi if I had one thing that was not good. Would stay again next time. Ralph...

We stayed 2 nights in Montana del Fuego in May 2018.

The resort is situated in a nice tropical garden. We had a room with a separate living room, a large bathroom with jacuzzi and a small kitchen with tea and coffee facilities. The bedroom and the terrace were overlooking the Irazu volcano, very nice. The beds were very comfortable.

The wifi is only available in common areas. As our room was close to the reception area we had it when we were on the terrace.

We had dinner in the resort’s restaurant. No special comment, food and service were good.

Me and my wife stayed for two nights at the superior bungalow, the people were pleasent and courteous, the place and facilities were excellent and the view facing the Volcano was incredible. My only critic is that they need to take care of the flies during the breakfast buffet. Everything else just spectacular including the Spa’s.
