We found this Comfort Suites very comfortable and clean. Also the desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and recommended places to eat and visit. Because we were on a business trip, we didn't get a chance to visit many places but we did enjoy walking around the downtown area and a brief visit to the Water Front. The Visitor Center is located in the old Union Railroad station where you can get a lot of information.
The Water Front itself had no real attractions but a paddle boat for river cruises and the outdoor amphitheater.
The downtown area was mostly office buildings but there were boutiques one could go to and browse. The area was within walking distance to the government builds including the capital building.
The historic markers were interesting to read about the history of the area.
There were restaurants in the area where one could get a meal or snack. We went to the Irish Bred Pub for lunch. I had their version of Philly Cheese Steak. It was tasty but the meat was slight overcooked.
This is a city I would definitely return to and take in more sites.More
