Room ---5 / 5; We stayed in a King s Room on the Ground Floor (Room 105). Avoid Room 104 as its just adjacent to the reception. If possible, try for a room on a higher floor.
Each room has a separate sit-out area which is private. . . ; rooms are large and high ceilinged - ventilation is exceptional. and so is the old classical furniture.. all solid wood and very very classy !!

Restaurant -- 4 / 5 -- CK s the restaurant somehow with its renovations and air conditioning loses its old world charm; food is pretty decent; would suggest one to have their dinner at the much better ELEPHANT BAR on the first floor.. the Bar commands great views of Brindavan gardens and is possibly the best place to sit and lounge in. They allow one to order food there. . which is great !!

Food - 3.5 / 5 -- would recommend the south indian ; food is overall decent but not great.

Sleep quality - 5 / 5 --- you get good sleep here. .

Cleanliness & Ambience -- 5 / 5; The lawns of the garden are almost like a private property before it opens for the general public. its simply amazing to stroll alone . . amazing !!

location - 3/5 -- far from main city - apart from being close to the palace and its gardens there isnt much here.

Food / Retaurant - food was decent if not great at CKs. 4 / 5

Room Tip: Take ideally a room on higher floors (First floor or Second floor)

I have stayed in this hotel for 1 day but that 1 day was absolute memorable. The hotel is situated opposite to dam and in front of the garden. You will get to see whole garden view from balcony. For play zone Hotel is having billiards table. Wifi is having moderate speed. But the location of property due to Garden view is just awesome. Food quality is fine and breakfast was also good.

The Royal Orchid Brindavan, is by far their best property. The Hotel rooms are large with 4 poster beds and baths with tubs and large balconies. The food is Good to Oaky at sometimes, the breakfast buffet is also good comparatively. But the famous Mysore dosa is no where to be found close to the authentic one. Its on the edge of the KSR dam and the views are beautiful!

Royal Orchid Hotel is opposite the Vrindavan Garden in Mysore. It is a heritage hotel with big and spacious rooms.
It has a swimming pool and billiards and snooker table. The food is average but the service is good.
They have a community hall with a proper setup on the first floor where we had our meetings.
Overall a 4 star for this property mainly for the Vrindavan Garden view.

I visited mysore and stayed in Royal Orchid as i needed a break from the daily chit chat and need a calm and serene place to stay. The hotel location is remote and 25kms away from city. The location is simply awesome, next to the dam and in front of nice park.Beautiful view from the property.

The property looks good but not managed well. Lights don't work properly, tap leaks, dirty curtains, not so good fittings in washroom, no soap in washroom etc are few issues I found. The staff is really helpful. The food in the restaurant (CK's) is good. If you have to go for any food outside the hotel you don't have any option at all.
The property has no facility at all for driver if you are hiring a taxi. There is a musical fountain show in the park but I personally didn't liked it, as I felt it was over hyped thing and nothing special in it. One should plan the trip accordingly as going to city from resort will take atleast 45mins.

Also if you are going with kids there are very little option although cycling ,swimming and huge chess board are only options I could see. There was PlayStation but it wasn't working.

Overall Ok stay but I expected better service and property can be managed well.
