Khan Market is a rather strange place -- high end shopping in a grubby, dilapidated environment. The restaurants in Khan Market are of variable quality, so I never have great expectations of the restaurants. Most of the restaurants are on upper levels, accessed via dilapidated doorways and staircases. Town Hall was new to me -- rather hidden away. I would have never known about Town Hall but for someone telling me they have good shushi (among many other cuisines). You get to Town Hall by walking through the passage a few stores to the right of the wonderful John Jacobs optical store and to the left of the Bahri Sons book store. Walk straight across the the next area of shops and find the Town Hall stairway slightly to the right.

I love good shush, so this is what I ordered. I do not generally expect much of a sushi restaurant in India, but Town Hall surprised me greatly -- excellent and reasonably priced sushi. I was so pleasantly surprised I did not try anything else.

The decor is really well done -- rustic design by someone who knows design well.

Service was OK -- not great, not very attentive, but not bad. This is the one area they could improve. I visited at noon on a weekday, and they were not busy, so the service should have been more attentive.

When you talk to someone that you are going to Town Hall they think if you are going to the office of Municipal Commissioner because it is known as Town Hall, the city MCD Office.Notwithstanding this the place has become very popular as it has the largest area in Khan Market and is well equipped with drinks and serves good food at reasonable rates.

Townhall @ Khan market has a good rooftop hangout . Awfully crowded on a sat night. For me the food was mediocre (im awfully strict with judging food). Snakes ( read snacks ) were ok. . Im a budget traveller so if your celebrating here go for IMFL ( Indian Made Foreign Liquor ) and you would be happier as the evening progresses .(spares you the let down when you are shelling big bucks post booze and suddenly the good feeling takes a dive )

Was there with my school friends and Bacchus was in full flow . I would rate the rooftop as the best place @ townhall. They also have small room on the lower floor if a batch of you want to keep it quiet .

Rooftop can be romantic if you sitting on the outer terrace !

If you are in Khan Market or visiting Lodi Gardens and want to stop to eat but can't choose the food this is it. Great variety, asian, American, Sushi and a well stocked multi page GF menu. Prices were fairly reasonable for an expat scale resturant. Worth the stop.

I was quite taken with Town Hall's appearance and the greeting by the owner at the top of the stairs. It's a VERY cool bar/restaurant in Khan Market. The decor is awesome, with really cool lighting fixtures and iron/piping accents. I was looking forward to my meal. It took 10 minutes to get a bloody mary after ordering. The bloody mary had almost no ice, so it was not cold and by the time i finished it was without ice. I ordered the draft beer (Bira) and it was unavailable. I ordered the tenderloin burger, it was unavailable too. So, I settled for the chicken burger, but asked how it was prepared. The waitress had no idea. When she came back, she described inaccurately compared to what I received. The fries & onion rings accompanying the burger were above average, but the chicken burger was blah at best. Nobody came to ask how my meal was, if I would like anything else, etc. I would have ordered a beer or a glass of wine for sure. When filling out the comment card, I was interrupted by a server saying "What was wrong, sir!?!?!" I informed him that he could read my comments once I was done writing. Two things are apparent, I should have ordered the sushi and I shouldn't assume the service & food would be as good as the ambiance. I would go back, but I think I'd be more aware of what I'd be getting.
