Khan Market is a rather strange place -- high end shopping in a grubby, dilapidated environment. The restaurants in Khan Market are of variable quality, so I never have great expectations of the restaurants. Most of the restaurants are on upper levels, accessed via dilapidated doorways and staircases. Town Hall was new to me -- rather hidden away. I would have never known about Town Hall but for someone telling me they have good shushi (among many other cuisines). You get to Town Hall by walking through the passage a few stores to the right of the wonderful John Jacobs optical store and to the left of the Bahri Sons book store. Walk straight across the the next area of shops and find the Town Hall stairway slightly to the right.
I love good shush, so this is what I ordered. I do not generally expect much of a sushi restaurant in India, but Town Hall surprised me greatly -- excellent and reasonably priced sushi. I was so pleasantly surprised I did not try anything else.
The decor is really well done -- rustic design by someone who knows design well.
Service was OK -- not great, not very attentive, but not bad. This is the one area they could improve. I visited at noon on a weekday, and they were not busy, so the service should have been more attentive.
