One of the best museum in India. One can revisit the entire Indian history by way of stamps. Awesome stamp collection. Must visit place.

its situated just outside gate no 3 of patel chowk stop, delhi metro. the place was deserted when we entered. that is, there was absolutely no one other than the curator himself.

But i felt the place deserves much much more attentions as it holds a epic story of independent india told through stamps. each and every stamp had a story to tell. The place is well organized, well equipped and well build. from the stamp of mahathma gandhi to charlie chaplin to mathubala to sachin , everything astonished me.

I would highly recommend this place for those who love stamps or even to those who love culture and history of independent india

This is one of the museum in Delhi, which you must visit if you have interest in philately. This museum has one of the diverse and old collection of stamps and postal history of India.

If you love and appreciate the beauty of postage stamps, this museum is heaven for you. Philately is a hobby of stamp collection and it is a lovely habit. Collecting stamps becomes a passion if you love stamps and at this place, you have all stamps issued by Indian Postal Department since independence and these are displayed both year wise and theme wise. It is lovely to see so many beautiful stamps on virtually all the themes one can imagine including Railways, ships, aviattion, space, science and technology, museums and sculptures, costumes and textiles, cinema, flowers, nature, plants and trees, wildlife, environment conservations, national parks, institutiions and what not. There is a section which displays stamps of other countries. It is lovely to see model of biplane which carried world's first airmail, Minicoy light House and so many natural phenomena and national parks. It is virtually a mini India.
The museum is on the ground floor of Dak Bhawan on Ashok road next to Patel Chowk Metro station.
Entry is free and it is open from Mondays to Fridays 10 AM to 5 PM.
It is an extremely lovable place.

A few hundred meters from patel chowk metro station we have our history printed on paper. Though this museum is not much of a tourist place it has a huge collection of stamps.
