I stayed only one night, but that was like a night at the museum. The hotel has one of the best collections in the world of Indo-British art from the 18th and 19th centuries, and the aesthetics are all very carefully orchestrated beginning with the Art Deco buildings which were part of the Luyttens zone of late imperial style in the Indian capital. Everything sings about this hotel, the service, the aesthetics, the comfort of the rooms, the food, the Art Deco swimming pool -- considering the room rate of around US$200 plus, it was also fabulous value for money.
