Qutub Minar was aprox 16Km from Connaught place .We went there by Taxi and found to much traffic congestion . Suggest to Take Metro from Connaught place to Qutub Minar to save travelling time . Its good place to spent 2-3 hrs seeing the beauty of Architecture . The Iron Pillar which was 100 of yrs ago still do not have Rust . Qutub Minar going on the Top is closed .

It was 20 years ago when I last came here on a number of occasions - it is one of those places where one can escape the chaos on the streets and embrace some of the history. This time we went on a very busy Sunday and it was chaotic with a huge melee of people and vehicles. At least paying through the nose for the foreigner's entrance rate cut out some of the queuing! Fortunately the site is quite large so there was a reasonable amount of space inside. I know memory plays tricks on one, but the site looked smarter than I recollect that it used to be. It seems to make an ideal outing for the locals for a family outing on a Sunday, so I would recommend avoiding weekend visits.
