Spent one night here and pleased it was not for any longer!
Rooms are away from the main building in woodland which seems quite nice until the walk back at night where it is poorly lit.
Food only average compared to other hotels we have stayed in Sri Lanka and poorer service than others.
The main building looks like it was once some Ancient Greek temple but it still needs a awful lot of work to done to make it a nice hotel.
Did not like all the monkeys everywhere!
Would not consider staying here again.

Decent, quietly situated garden resort but the rooms are in need of updating. The pool is inviting (get some decent wooden sunbeds instead of white plastic). The restaurant dark-ish. Would be better if the rooms were brighter

Room was excellent, food was excellent as was the service from the helpful friendly staff. Had just visited Wilpattu National Park so it was great for us to relax and enjoy the evening and get a very restful sleep. A great place to stay.

we stayed for just one night. the place is still being refurbished. rooms need a good refurbishment too. outside the rooms the place is nice during day time as you get so close to nature. no entertainment during the evenings at the hotel though.

Room Tip: outside bungalow

We stayed here for 1 night after a last minute change to our itinerary.

Whilst I would agree with some of the previous reviewers comments, I do feel that some people have been a bit harsh.

The hotel is in the process of a much needed upgrade, however the rooms are clean and functional. The resort is nicely layed out and gives a colonial feel. At this time of year this part of Sri Lanka has not seen rain for a number of months, so yes the grass is dead, much like the UK after the usual hot summer!

The hotel has a lovely large pool, which as most people are out sightseeing was not overly busy. WiFi is available by the resturant/bar and pool area, although the signal was poor.

We found the staff in the resturant very helpful and the food on offer at the breakfast and evening buffet of a good standard and choice,

Yes, this hotel and its rooms, particularly the bathrooms, do need a modern upgrade. Nevertheless, the staff are helpful and it more than meet our needs for the 1 night.

Room Tip: This hotel is quite spread out so if you have mobility issues ask for a room nearer the main building.
