Owner description: One of the oldest pre-Romanesque buildings in Montenegro, it was built in the 9th century. According to legend, it was erected by Benedictine monks, who gifted the Christians of Budva an icon of the Virgin.

The church is no longer used as a church but now houses an art gallery but the item of real interest is the excellent marine motif Roman mosaic now located inside the building.

The ceiling of the church is also interesting due to its construction and age.

Church is very small and difficult to find, but its atmospheric and historical place. Also you could see it from citadel walls.

This old church is located at the seaside of Budva old city. Could not enter while there, but seemed old and quite picturesque.
