A very ancient religious monument with a rich historical cost. The outer look is the one that astonishes: stone embroidery on the entire surface. At night, the lights make this church an architectural wonder.

A short break to Iaşi over the Easter holidays. Walking around the city we came to the cobbled street full of the little huts full of locals selling their wares. Then we saw the Church of the Three Hierarchs. A beautifully ornate church on the outside. It looked newly restored as in perfect condition. Inside was full of character and history. Well worth a visit.

The Three Hierarchs Church is next to the Metropolitan Church. It has an in-house visit program, but it can be visited at any time outside.
This church beyond its exterior and interior beauty houses several tombs of some of Romania's historical personalities: Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Dimitrie Cantemir

The church is one of the most beautiful religious monuments in a country which has many remarkable such objectives. The external decoration is all cast in stone, an exceptional work, combining local, byzantine, Islamic influences. The interior is also consistent and beautifully decorated. The church also comprises the graves of important personalities in the history of Romania.

Built by Vasile Lupu between 1637 and 1639 this is one of Iaşi's most beautiful churches.
Thirty different carved stone decoration bands cover the entire outside walls of the church from the base to the top of the steeples; they are inspired from the national old wood carvings and embroideries blended with Asian and Western elements.
It's a must to visit!
And is in the heart of the city...so you will be able to find it really easy!
