So sad to have such an amazing place, managed so poorly. The road was so bad, only expert drivers know how to handle the bumps and holes. The beach was also poorly managed. If the local government just want to satisfy the local tourist, that would be just okay..but for foreign or Jakartans, this place could be explored better with better management and facilities.

This place like in Africa since it has savanna. The view also very beautiful where you can see Mt. Baluran and savanna at the same time.

Besides savanna, here also have beach and called as Bama beach. Good place to go in East Java.

The only thing is the road to reach savanna will take almost 30-40 min from entrance gate (around 15-20 km) which is very far but don't worry since they also provide public transportation such as bus to sightseeing inside.

We hesitated to go there first, as we did not only read positive reviews, but we have absolutely NO regret! Went there for an early trip (5am to 10am) with a local guide from the Ecolodge (very nice!). The park has some unique atmosphere. You first cross a beautiful jungle before arriving in a stuning savana (!!!), and eventually a mangrove. All under the shadow of a massive ancient volcano. As for animals, they're there: antilopes, buffalos, monkeys (including endangered species called Lutung), but also iguana, hornbills and peacocks. We visited on a week day and were almost the only ones!! Trail is quite difficult though, and with our car we averaged at 15km per hour. Really recommend. If you go there, please be respectuf of the place and the animals. Do not feed them. Do not litter. Let's keep this place beautiful!

There are some animals inside like Monkey, Deer, Bulls and Peacocks etc. Optional of place is in east java, the combine of mount, savanna, beach and the meriable forest with
flora and fauna that isn't less beautiful, as well as forests that evergreen each year.

You can feel a little Africa here. The savanna with Ijen mountain as a background. Good place to take a photo, but also perfect place to watch sunset. If you visit this place when rainy days, you can find green savanna, but if you visit summer days, you'll find a golden one with wild animals that live there as a view to enjoy. You can go to the tower to enjoy the view from above.
