Room: spacious and beautiful interior design. Beds are a biy hard but still we had a good sleep. Good AC. Little pool on terrace. Bathroom had some minor issues (for example a shaky water tap) but i wouldnt call them "in desperate need of renovation" as other reviews on this side claimed...
Coffee, tea and water are provided for free and where refilled every day. A little minibar with reasonable prices is present as well...

Cleanliness: housekeeping came everyday and kept the room clean. Also the water in the pool was exchanged daily.

Breakfast: could be better! Variety of dishes is presented that seems to be left overs from the night before. Furthermore they offer salad and fruits (watermelon, pineapple and dragon fruit) which unfortunately where the same every day. Furthermore they have a variety of fried eggs (i.e. Omelette) that they prepare freshly for you, but sometimes you have to queue a bit for it. Overall appearance of the breakfast was not good and unorganised (they forget to refill stuff).. But served on a beautiful terrace with beach view that makes up for it

Staff: very friendly, smiling and helpfull except for the management: a women that stuck around during breakfast every day and was rude to guests and staff. Everyone seems to be tensed around here.. I would enjoy breakfast way more without her...

Location: on the one hand directly on a beautiful beach with white sand, turkis colored water and stunning mountains in the background.. On the other hand bit far away from town. Either a 30 min jungle walk or a taxi boat that cost 100 bath at daytime, 150 in the evening and 200 after midnight.. Wish the hotel would provide more shuttle since there is nothing to do around the hotel area..

We chose this resort for it's location on long beach and were not disappointed, right on a perfect beach, great for swimming at all tides. We expected the 31/2 star rating to include other amenities we could enjoy but the rooms for one are old and tired, the breakfast was very mediocre, the pool was tiny. The only shade on the patio overlooking the beach was a large dirty tree that continually dropped its seeds everywhere, or the one broken and ripped umbrella. There was one good umbrella but reserved for the owners all day! Beach access only but be prepared to drag your own luggage up the beach threw the sand. Don,t walk behind the property, they store all the garbage there until they have time to bury it!!

Before booking here, two girlfriends and I (and an 18 month old) scanned the reviews and I have to say on the whole they are right. You get what you pay for here. It looks a lot better on the photos and the service and food was pretty sparse. For £40 each for three of us sharing it was ok if you don’t mind hiking up to your room or to the next door resort to find a subbed and bribing the guy with 100 bht to be seated under a nice umbrella with a lovely restaurant behind. Our resort didn’t have enough beds or any umbrellas so most of the guests were huddled under one tree like sardines. Not my idea of relaxation! The breakfast was average and they tried - but it didn’t convince us to try it for dinner! With Koh Phi phi’s water the most important thing to do is get your snorkel on and get in it. However for some reason our hotel didn’t rent the kit out so again, off to next door to hire. (1000 deposit and 100 bht for the day. To summarise, for a one or two day stay for cheap cheap money and nothing else you could probably do better and if you are going to Phi Phi for any longer then pay a bit more and stay somewhere a little better - it’ll be worth it!

Ps long beach was lovely and so I would recommend you find something there. Our secret spot was Phi Phi beach resort - we would have stayed there but they were full. Anyone under 30 May prefer to stay in Tong sai if you can cope with McDonalds being there!

Pps didn’t take any pics of resort.. why would you!

The dissapointment started when we arrived with the ferry and all other hotels picked up their guests at the pier. Only 'our' hotel seemed to be missing...

To begin with the positive: The rooms are very spacious and clean. The only problem is that the water of the shower flows towards the toilet and not to the drain. However, if you put a towel in front of the shower, the flooding can be avoided.

Long beach is a dream and really worth to take a hotel on its shore.
Unfortunately, the hotel only had deckchairs on the pool, which needed to be carried down the stairs unless you prefer lying directly on the sand.

The breakfast was okay. Not much of selection, but qualitywise okay.

Staff was quite unfriendly and unable or better unwilling to help.

In a nutshell:
We wanted to stay at Long Beach and looked after hotels. Even as we were off season, the prices were already quite high for Thailand. So we decieded to take a hotel with a fair price-value-ratio. According to this, it is certainly a good choice if you ask after your wishes (even if you feel uncomortable after a few times).
However, if you stay at Phi Phi should be unforgettable and you are not looking at your wallet, we recommend to look for another option.

We had heard so much about how beautiful the beach is at long beach hotel in phi phi. We bought a 4 night stay on booking.com. We took a boat from pier to get there cause it was a rocky mountain if we wanted to go by feet. The resort is really old. The rooms were painted in a neon green color like you usually see in the hospitals. The swimming pool is really small and they didn't even have a cafe latte or a cold coconut. We couldn't even stay there. There were little bugs in the room. We hated it so much that we decided to change our trip and go to Phuket instead. We had paid all in advance in cash. We asked the reception if we could get our money back. And they helped us in any way and only charged us one night in a normal price and gave us the whole rest back. No where in the world i had experienced this. Very nice people. And the views are seriously to die for.
