Ko Lanta is not the cheapest island in Thailand and certainly not during the Christmas break. So we were prepared to pay a little more for a good experience. However, the price we paid also raised our expectations, which were not exactly met at this hotel.

The bungalow are clean, but small. There is no netting provided. Luckily we had our own netting with us and that helped us to be bitten a bit less. We had to kill a couple of cockroaches in the room, which was not a pleasant experience.

The breakfast is fine, with sufficient choice. The meals were tasty, but slightly more expensive than elsewhere on the Andaman coast.

The bay is small and gives a private feeling. There are rocks but they are only at the start and easy to navigate around to get to the sandy part. There is no snorkeling to write home to as the coral is irreversibly damaged here.

The restaurant staff speaks very little English. The ones at the reception are more helpful.

The hotel is ideal for families with children. Our kids particularly enjoyed the pool.

One of the best things about the hotel is their effort to be more eco-friendly. E.g. they offer flasks to every customer, so that plastic bottle use is minimized. Much appreciated!

Room Tip: C-row rooms get quite a bit of traffic noise from the road. A or B rows should be quieter, but more expensive.

Celebrated anniversary with my wife for four nights mid December. Ideal for anyone who seeks a beach holiday away from the crowds....private beach. Strongly suggest paying extra for front row bungalows as views from terrace are stunning. Clean, large rooms with a/c and fan. Decent restaurant on beach slightly higher prices than elsewhere. For variety walk 20 minutes along road onto beach where there are several restaurants with tables on sand. . Most will agree to drive you back to Narima if you eat at their establishment. Manager very pleasant and helpful...most staff helpful but could do with more training. Hotel was 1/4 full with no babies.....the experience may have been different at a busier time. Decent WiFi throughout.

Room Tip: Row A huts well worth extra fee

My son and I spent a couple of days at this friendly place of Yodchai and Nopawat during low season...

For those seeking relief from city stress and are not afraid of sounds of the waves only this place can be a truely healer to the soul....

For diver aficionados there is a PADI certified diving Center available and staff is very accommodating

The seaside bugalows are beautiful and clean, so you sleep like babies...

The kitchen chef is great with fish and has a knack for spices...! We loved the food!

We loved our stay at the Narima! we went during low season so we had most of the resort to ourselves and it was very quiet. The bungalows are tucked into the jungle, but you can see the ocean and hear the waves. The pool and beach front are wonderful and relaxing. We stayed here during our honeymoon and enjoyed getting to meet the owner. She was very helpful and went above and beyond in helping to schedule activities for us. We had dinner here several times and were really happy with the food! We would recommend staying here!

We stayed here five days with our family of 4 (children age 3 and 0)
The hotel staff was very friendly and laid back.
Our room was probably one of the best low price rooms we have stayed in (third 1-month visit to Thailand) big spacious, good aircon and super balcony.
The food was poor - we ate out of the hotel 4 of the 5 nights. Rented a motorcycle and drove around. Nice experience for our son.
The pool was ok. Needed a bit shadow options at the main pool but ok.
