“Peaceful beach”
Review of Khlong Khong Beach

Reviewed 10 July 2017

Because there is a reef system visible at low tide, this is a beach that will not be marred by huge all,-inclusive resorts that drain local colour out of once-perfect beaches and destroy the livelihoods of local people. It is a beautiful quiet beach with interesting bars not encroaching too rowdily: wonderful chill out zones from which to watch the sun going down and after dark to see the green glow of fishing boats on the horizon.

All beaches in Koh Lanta are nice, quieter than samui or phuket you wont be disappointed if you want to chill out and have a pleasant experience away from the masses

It's such a shame that the beaches are left in such a state over the wet season ... I understand that there are not many visitors so not much income so fewer jobs etc ... BUT I seriously believe that the weather is not a problem to as many people as the tourism operators believe ! It is more the state of disrepair of the place !!! People WILL come , Koh Lanta could easily be an all year destination! Clean it up and see !!!
Even the one or 2 resorts that are open don't bother with the beach or even beach seating and it's all just piled up !!!
Why the operators don't treat us off season visitors the same with beautiful lanterns and comfortable chairs I don't know !?!?

We came to koh lanta during low season therefore there wasn't much happening around this area. Majority of restaurants and bars were shut along the beach and there just seemed to be rubbish everywhere - perhaps the beaches aren't looked after when not many tourists visiting which is a real shame.
