I stayed here for 4 days a couple of weeks a go. We stayed in the budget bungalow for 2 days and then the deluxe sea view villa for 2 days.

The budget bungalow is what you would expect, comfortable bed but not a lot of room and the shower was pretty rubbish and didn’t have air con so it became quite hot in there!

The deluxe sea view villa was a big improvement, loads a room and a bigger shower that was much better than the last one. However, again the bathroom doesn’t have air-con. The bath that was outside was also a bit weird as the water came out green!

The staff were very helpful when we wanted to rent bikes and book taxis! Overall, it was a pretty good stay!

Dear Valued Guest,

Thanks for your review. We are happy to hear that overall you had a good stay with us. Thanks for pointing out a few flaws that we need to fix. March was indeed a scorching month and was inevitably hot in areas without aircon. Since it is quite unconventional to have aircon in the bathroom here, we will consider adding fans to help. The shower for the budget room has now been checked and should be in proper working order.
Regarding the water supply, since there is no central water supply on the island, all our water comes from underground wells. Although color can be strange espcially during dry seasons, we reaffirm that its safe to use (not drink) as its been through a filtration system.

We wish you a happy time for the remaining part of your stay in Thailand. Hope to see you soon!

Best Regards,
Tam

We spend 3 night this hotel, 2 beach front villa and 1 seaview villa. There is so much potential so i hope manager make some transformation here. Pool area is nice but no service here, if you want something you have to go restaurant or get drinks to your room. Very nice view on beach front villa but no privacy att all.. all the time somebody (people who lives seaview villa too)walks front of villa terrace. Bathroom is very big but opened and it’s weird make your ”business” because you here people talking seaview terrace. Bed and pillow are great so you sleep well. Hotel restaurant is very good and we eat every night here. Overall hotel is great but you should get more privacy and service for 200€/night.

Dear valued guest,

Thanks for taking the time to review us and pointing out some valid points for imrpovement. Our ultimate goal is to become a leading 3 star hotel offering comfort and service of 4-5 stars, and the pool service / room service suggestion is definitely something we will add in the near future. Ultimately, this service was available before but was posponed due to the restaurant being run by a third party. Rest assured, some changes will come by soon.
For added privacy in the villas, we will try adding a small sign to ensure people do not cross the lawn to the beach which may have caused the privacy concerns.

Thanks again for the tips.
We hope to see you again soon!

Best Regards,
Tam

Quaint on the surface. But details are lacking.

Screaming children at the pool constantly, most of every afternoon/early evening (right in front of our room, of course). Management not seeming to care. I booked a hotel, not a child-care facility.

Wood floors that crack like gunshots when you walk on them. Forget just one of you getting up in the middle of the night, it's gonna be both of you :-) Oh, and you can see daylight between the boards.

Another of those places that requires a keycard left in a slot by the door to keep the electricity on. I don't condone people leaving the AC running all day while they're gone, BUT I NEED TO CHARGE STUFF!! Couldn't these genius systems be set up to leave one outlet working???

The beach is over 200m away from the garden villas. Modestly annoying but not too bad.

The sliding doors to the balcony and the front door might as well not even be there, as far as keeping bugs/noise/heat out of the room. The crack under the front door could easily admit small reptiles or rodents. Perhaps they should abandon the idiotic keycard in the slot deal, and spend a few bucks to seal the place up.

The best for last...the washroom. An unfinished, rough-edged concrete add-on to the cabana. Looks like a construction site in progress. And not connected to the room's ventilation system, so no AC. In an area where the "feels like" temp averages about 43 deg C every day. And a putrid stench they were never quite able to banish. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Best guess, it was one of the floor drains. They were able to occasionally minimize it/overpower it with scents, but it inevitably returned, to make sure I started every day feeling nauseous.

I would have accepted all of this at half the price. But no way at the price I paid.

The resort is very very nice, probably on the best beach of Ko Lanta. All chalets are gorgeous, even the ones not overlooking the sea. Spacious, luxurious but in a subtle way that fits in with the environment. Breakfast was great and served right on the beach.

Our overall experience was affected though by the fact that we booked the top luxury room type, hoping for great sunsets and a magic atmosphere right on the beach. Regretfully we were assigned chalet S1, the worst among the sea view villas! Being the first one, it’s sided by a concrete wall, so our view was 50% the sea, 50% a not very appealing concrete wall... We were so disappointed that we were charged the same as our neighbors who had a wonderful full view of the beach. Really, they should let visitors know. We paid an obscene amount of money and the room was just not up to the standards of the other villas.

I really hate to be writing this review because the property is very nice in general and I hate being that guy on Trip Advisor, but we got absolutely hosed with our room setup and I think other travelers should be wary.

We’re in Beachfront Villa S1, theoretically the nicest variety of room on the property. Our room is “beachfront”, but because it’s on the far south end of the property, half of our view is a cement wall with barbed wire on it. Far worse, something is happening at the next property over (which also kind of looks vacant, so wtf?) where a person has been yelling on a loudspeaker, auctioneer style, since 4 PM. It’s past 10 now. It’s as if one of the trucks that drives around blasting advertisements for Muay Thai is parked outside of our room.

I want to clarify that I’m not talking about the weekly party at Pangea, which is happening a few doors down the beach. We love nightlife ourselves and are very tolerant of other people having fun, but this is absurd and undeniable.

I tried to attach a video with the sound, but the Trip Advisor app won’t let me.

Hi Peter,

We really apologize for the loud boxing event that took place that day. It was situated near the pra Ae park which is about 1 km from our spot. It was undeniably loud but we unfortunately couldn’t do any thing about it. I’m pretty sure the whole 1km radius was affected but it finished around 11pm and just a one off event.

As for the room S1, it’s indeed next to the wall. It’s there for the safety and security of our guests. Let us know if you ever decide to give us a second chance, so we can arrange all your preferences.

Apologies again for this negative experience.
Have a pleasant remainder of your stay in Koh Lanta

Best Regards,
Tam
