surprisingly pleasant experience . Very beautiful surroundings , very well mailtained . Really did not know that Sita spent her last days here , that Luv and Kush were born here and that Luv -Kush tied up the Ashwamedh Horse as sent by their father Ram. Stories apart , the Valmiki temple and the Murti of the great Rishi is very impressive .

Huge construction activities were going on in October 2016 when I visited . Very tall Hanuman idol was there, Temple building surrounded by a large lake was ready and waiting for idol. Guesthouse for devotees was constructed. Very impressive complex, about 15 kilometers away from Amritsar city. School of Lov-Kush, bathing place of Sita mata was shown. Full day enjoyment.
