This temple is excellent structure and peaceful place, Situated in the middle of lake with fountains on both sides it is a visual treat. The temple is dedicated to Valmiki. There is a small Sitamata temple and two huge Hanuman statues

Huge construction activities were going on in October 2016 when I visited . Very tall Hanuman idol was there, Temple building surrounded by a large lake was ready and waiting for idol. Guesthouse for devotees was constructed. Very impressive complex, about 15 kilometers away from Amritsar city. School of Lov-Kush, bathing place of Sita mata was shown. Full day enjoyment.

Beautiful place where Valmiki is meant to have had an Ashram, Sita gave birth to her twins. Large lake which can be circambulated and surrounded by a number of shrines. Kept very clean. A must visit for any pilgrim in the locality. There was no hassle at all for donations and overall a very peaceful visit.
