We were on a Gate One tours and stayed at this hotel. it was a nice 4 star hotel with good amenities and location. The included breakfast was very good. It had hot and cold items including fish. The staff were also very good.

Room tip: view of harbor with balcony

Great location on the edge or Korcula town. Superb views from the hotel across to the old town, the harbour, the sea and to the beautiful mainland mountains just over a mile away. Sun loungers are in front of the hotel next to the sea - no beach immediately there but it is possible to swim. The shingly beach is about a three minute walk towards the town. If taking the shortest way into town, along the water-front path, on an evening you need a torch for about 100 metres of the journey.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and most have a good grasp of English. A generous 3 hour slot for breakfast and a two hour slot for evening dinner between 19:00 and 21:00hrs. You don't go to Croatia for the food but the range and quality in the hotel were fine. There are no kettles in the bedrooms so take a travel kettle if that's what you like!
The local wine is quite expensive but still less than in bars and restaurants in the UK. The cost of living is lower than in the UK.
Korcula old town is beautiful (a miniature version and feel of of Dubrovnik, Venice and Valletta!) and the amount of boats and ferries in and out of the two harbours was always interesting to watch. Plenty of nice walking tracks in the area and the local buses are inexpensive and regular. Local taxi-ferries are more expensive but go to all the local small islands. Larger ferries are available to Dubrovnic, Split and the major islands.
The bus journey with Jet2 from Dubrovnik airport was longer than advertised - almost three hours, with no break. The 15 minute ferry ride across to Korcula was fun though - small local ferries used, but not too small to feel sea-sick!

Service: staff were very helpful and friendly.
Food: there were good options for food and the cook can make something up if you have dietary needs. I would still explain in detail what your needs are.
Rooms: had a big open space, larger than most other hotels and a desk. The space was great for an indoor workout. We did not have a water view but did have a little patio outside. We also spent most of our time exploring.
Hygiene: clean.
Atmosphere: hotel was close to the old part of town. Very easy 5 minute walk.
Other: plenty of ocean in front of the hotel for a dip. We went in the off season when the water is still warm and had plenty of space to enjoy. We did not have kids with us. The hotel seemed like it would accommodate for kids though.

We paid extra for a sea view room only to be given a small room with a window from which you could see part of the sea, part of Korcula Town and part of the wall of the hotel. Dinner was awful and consisted of cafeteria type food which was very dissapointing, the location is excellent within a lovely walk to the old town which is wonderful. Staff are pleasent and friendly in a hotel that seems to cater for a very much older group of holiday makers.

We had a balcony with a lovely view of the sea. Staff was most friendly and accommodations were good. The breakfast was plentiful and the selections were very good. It was a short walk into the center along the beach walk.
