Arro Khampa Lijiang received us as long term friends. Its manager, Richi - a Chilean well travelled charismatic professional - welcomed us and made every effort to make us feel at home.
Food was really good and very diverse with dishes from tibet, different regions in China and even indian curries. All cooked with homemade ingredients carefully selected.
The hotel has been built with plenty of attention to details in a tibetan style and it is owned by a very friendly tibetan business man.
During our stay we visited Shuhe town, Baisha, Yuhu and we also joined a group of the hotel in a horse riding ( we rented some quad bikes ) to visit a Yi minority house in the top of the mountains following the old horse track from Lijiang to Shangri la....a really unique experience thanks again to Richi and his arro khampa team.
All and all an unforgettable experience and highly recommendable to have a real tibetan experience in a family boutique atmosphere. More
