Dorms are spacious, with huge showers and lockers. Friendly staff. Rather well located, not too far from the main road which is convenient to avoid transporting luggages on the paved road. There were renovations so a bit noisy and couldn't eat there.

Beautiful hostel with very comfortable dorm rooms, clean bathrooms, cheap laundry. Great staff. It's right in Old Town Lijiang, which could be good or bad. (In my opinion, Old Town is oppressively touristy and I did not like it, but the staff helped me find cool places I did enjoy.) The kitchen was not working when I was there.

We recently stayed at the Timeless Hostel for 3 nights. After an unexpected flight diversion on the way to Lijiang, we did not arrive until 1am. After brief contact with the hostel, all arrangements were adjusted for our airport pick up and we were warmly greeted on arrival...even at 1.45am!
We had a twin room, which was very comfortable, views from the balcony area were lovely...a good way to end a big day of walking the old town or hiking, with soft singing drifting across from the bar across the street.
The hostel team were very helpful (willing to listen to my bad Chinese) providing us with information about how to get around.
Unfortunately the clouds would not lift for a view of Yulong Xueshan, but the scenery was beautiful if you have a chance to get out of the old town. We took bus 6 to the end stop and then jumped off at Baisha on the way back - a nice trip for 2-3 hours (including wandering time).

We had a queen room with ensuite, the balcony offered great views.everything was very clean and in good order. River manages the place very well both he and Bailey are really helpful.
Great rooftop for a beer, no food available but you can use the kitchen. Ample restaurants and store close by.
Found the place quickly using GPS, get off at North Gate, and it is 5 mins.
River arranges onward travel and even takes you to the bus to make sure you have no problems.

Room tip: Upper floor with view

The hostel is a tad difficult to find when arriving with public transport. When arriving at the main bus station, try to take a #2 bus (same side as bus station) to the North Gate of the old town, and walk 5 min from there. If using a taxi driver, get him to call River (owner) and he'll pick you up at the nearest gate. The old town of Lijiang is pedestrianised, and the hostel is in the quieter part of town (which was much appreciated!). The front door is locked (you'll get a key), so you need to ring the bell when arriving.
The rooms were clean, but not very spacious- it was a bit tight to "walk around the luggage" but the beds were very comfy. There is a large roof terrace with loads of space to use/ sit outside- which was lovely. They have washing machines and a drying area for your laundry on a hidden "roof top" as well. Free water coolers and free black tea 24hrs was provided. The towels were changed every second day.

River was great in giving tips, arranging taxis or transport for a whole day trip for us. You can hire bicycles as well. The best breakfast places are 15-20min walk away, but well worth the walk: Prague Cafe, N's kitchen and LaMu's. Ask River for directions. We'd stay here again and highly recommend it!!
