This was the place my family spent three times for lunch during our visit to bagan. Lots of local dishes were offered for you to try out. You only pay for what you eat. Price was a little pricey but food tasted heaven. Fried chicken and tamarind leaves salad is a must try if you like myanmar food.and my favorite is myanmar milk tea. One of the best i have ever tasted in Myanmar. Ok

This is a great spot to taste multiple dishes at once. The only issue was they were not hot but this didn't bother us.
We really enjoyed our lunch and the chance to try a few things we had not had the chance to taste yet.

This place was incredible...a huge range of local fare to sample and you only pay for what you eat...

Wife and I went hard at lunch and had a wide variety...the whole bill came to 7100 kyat...for both of us...

Special note...the egg curry was incredible

It may be a bit unusual for people from the west to eat rice for breakfast. But rice with steamed brown peas, served with all assorted small dishes will be something that will hit your taste bud.
The dishes come in small plates and my favorites are freshly fried chicken (not like KFC but mind you it's not boneless but very tastes) and smoked venison. And chicken soup with lemon leaves is heaven.
The restaurant is on the main road from old Bagan to Nyaung U.
The price is so much reasonable and oh you may try Burmese tea there too. But do remind them not to make it too sweet. You may say "pot saint" in Burmese which means less sweet with more tea.
Do give it a try when you are in Bagan.

Name the meat. Name the pickle. It's on your table. They serve everything available in 2 trays. You pay only for what you consume. We had deer, prawns, chicken & fish with rice & chicken soup. If you are in Bagan do not miss Myo Myo
