My wife and I stayed here as part of a massive 25th wedding anniversary get together; all the other family stayed here as well.
The room we found to be okayish. The bathroom was a bit on the small side. They had instant coffee making facilities but had to leave a note to ensure it got replenished. The biggest issue was there appeared to be little attempt to provide any soundproofing, so we got constantly woken up at 6 am on the dot by the jets flying over. Plus sound travelled between floors without a problem. Combine this with jetlag and too many Caipirinha's and we didn't sync with the local time zone for 4 days...
The hotel supplied free Wifi, which worked quite well.
We had repeated issues with door cards failing to work, even though I kept my well apart from phones. Also one of the lifts access card readers was on the blink, so you couldn't be sure if it read the card, or the card was faulty. I got the feeling some of the rooms need an overhaul based on what others reported.
As regards breakfast and the restaurant, can't fault them - this was the main meeting point for the family and they served us all hours, it was pretty much in constant use by the extended family throughout.
As regards where the hotel is located, we felt safe to walk around in the day, but I think at night (unless in a group) would be a different matter. The physical security on the apartment buildings opposite is typical for all the apartment buildings in the city centre, don't let that put you off.
