So back in São Paulo I stayed at the Renaissance a decision I did not regret. Service and engaged level with the staff is just great and creates a really good atmosphere. Great gym also so some exercise it became

My third visit to Sao Paulo and I was happy with my stay at The Renaissance.

There are a few shining stars on staff, but in general things happen slowly and unaware of customer needs. Patience will come in handy.

The food outlets are quite good. The lobby bar has nice selection of small plates and main dishes. The sushi bar is incorporated into the bar area and there is a wide selection of offerings. Just outside the fitness centre, you will find a fantastic cafeteria, selling very fresh and healthy selections. Buffet breakfast is included with more rates. All the usual offerings are available.

The rooms comfort is exceptional. Quality bedding and comfortable mattresses. Most of all, I enjoyed the motorized black out blind which was most helpful and appreciated. There is at least one openable window in each room. When closed the outside noise is kept at bay. A bit of sound permeates from the hallway, with guest room doors opening and closing.

Much to our disappointment the pool was closed. We heard it was under renovation and that “it was still spring”. We had chosen this hotel on location, but also in great part for it’s pool. When this space is closed, there are absolutely no outdoor spaces to simply read a book or have a coffee. The one exception being the front entrance where all the smokers congregate.

Room rates are reasonable, so there is great value here. However, to claim five stars might be a bit of a stretch. I would put this in a solid four, maybe four and a half.

Room tip: High floor rooms have amazing views of the mega city.

I stayed here for a week. Excellent room and facilities. Gym top class. Friendly and very helpful staff. I left my IPad in my room and Victoria secured it and its my return to me. I will be back to stay. Location also ideal. Business lounge also great.

Renaissance SP is a centric hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, you need to make sure air conditioner has been turned off when you enter the room to avoid ending up feeling sick. Gym is really good. Breakfast is generous and of good quality. Meeting rooms are comfortable but they lack natural light as they are located underground, at least the ones I used. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful at all times. An excellent option in São Paulo.

The location of this Hotel is good, close to Av Paulista, make sure to check the cleanliness of the room, i have been a few times in this hotel and the sheets where not clean.
The staff is very nice, and Mr Diego Sanches , right away, when I had the problem helped and change my room, and made sure my stay was pleasant...
BTW, Marriott changed the rules for their cards, so if you r gold you do not have anymore the same rights as you had in the past, I think it is wrong to change this rules in the midlle of the year.
