I have never seen a bad performance at The Little Theatre of Alexandria. The only reason I give them a 4 star vs a 5 is that the leg room between the seats is a bit cramped and I am only 5'8".
We ordered tickets online and went to see "A Party to Murder" 2 act play tonight. We thoroughly enjoyed the play! The actors we very good. They showed lots of emotions when necessary and the plot had us fooled to the very end. The sets looked great. We had no trouble hearing the actors, they all projected well. Lighting was perfect.
Overall the experience was a great value and enjoyable evening.
Ordered tickets online for a murder mystery " a Party to Murder" and the show was excellent. Easy walking distance on a nice night from the restaurant area in Old Town (about 8 blocks) or there is street parking nearby.
For those who want a low-key evening out with some good theater - this is the place to go. The actors and actresses were very good - and the show had plenty of twists. Tickets were very reasonably priced - and snacks at intermission were $1 each.
Following the show we strolled back to where our car was parked (near the restaurants on King Street) enjoying the ambiance of the walk.
A great date night event!
We were lucky to come across a listing for West Side Story at The Little Theatre on the web. We ordered the tickets on their site and attended a great performance. It's very easy to get there. Take the Blue Line Metro to King Street/Old Town, board the free shuttle for a ride down King Street, get off around Washington or St. Asaph Street, and walk South 3 blocks. This is a little" theatre so everything is up close and personal. The performance was everything you'd expect of a larger production, but in an intimate and comfortable setting. Tickets were$30.
This is a community theater. The production was very good. The setting is very cozy. The facility is well maintained. The theater seats about three hundred. Finding parking can be a problem. The cost is moderate.
The Little Theater is wonderful. They offer wonderful classes for children and adults alike for those of you who are in the area. For those of you who are just visiting, the shows are amazing! It is small, does not look like much when you walk in, but the quality of acting you will see is amazing! I have seen musicals, comedies, and even dramas here and they have all been wonderful. The tickets are wel prices as well and, because the theater is small, there are really no bad seats in the house. I highly recommend catching a show here.
