Really enjoyed the tour, absolutely beautiful place. Our tour guide was very personable and he did a great job interpreting the site. I liked the leisurely pace of the return to the building. May be a problem for someone who is afraid of snakes. There were several. It did not bother us as all, they were out sunning and kept their distance.

Went on a Sunday morning. Arrived at 9:20 a d was car #8 at the gate. Got on the 10 o'clock tour. It was full by 9:35 so arrive early if you want the first tour. Our guide was Laura. She did a great job of explaining the flora, fauna and geology in layman's terms. Just a great experience.

This was really enjoyable. Got there at 1:00 and wandered around the upland trail and looked at the exhibits in the building while waiting for the 2:00 tour. Guide was informative and trail was easy to traverse. There are quite a few steps, but it is not especially strenuous. The huge cypress trees, cave, and grotto were all fabulous to see. My teenagers even liked it. Definitely bring a camera.

Visited in January. Be sure to take the tour that is on the weekend-led by friendly and knowledgeable people to an area not open to the public.

We went on the weekend when the tour was available and a very knowledgeable and friendly guide took us into the canyon to the grotto and cave. Interesting scenery, a few birds, and a fantastic look at a special area-the pool and grotto. and the interior of a limestone cave that is actually still growing stalactites and stalagmites. Not an easy walk, not suitable for strollers. The visitors center is interesting too, and we walked the savannah areas and visited a nice bird blind that was quite active. They also have picnic tables available and good restrooms. Highly recommend visiting, but watch the hours and watch for the weekend $15.00 tour. Worth the money.
