Before, my wife and I would go to Max's if we're on a chicken trip. An order of one spring chicken, rice, and a dessert would amount to Php 500-600. When we discovered Indonyaki, which is actually just a stone's throw away from where we live, we found ourselves a chicken trip on a budget!
As their name implies, their menu is of Indonesian inspiration. But whatever cuisine they have is something that you develop a craving for---and it's cheap! At Php 285 I already have ourselves an Ayam Goreng Regular, which can be half or whole (we order half only since the fried breading topping is already ULAM in itself!), a large bowl of Indonyaki Rice, and two Mango Gulaman for dessert. In hindsight, we left much fuller than our usual Max's order. Oh! And there's a complementary curry soup that comes to you bottomless whenever you dine in.
The place is small and semi-alfresco (pero hindi malangaw). Well, you'll see the occasional dog scavenging for left overs from the benevolent customer but nothing that will spoil your appetite. Customer service is good with very friendly and accommodating staff. Sometimes you'll get to see the owner serving food himself.
I believe their store hours is from 11am to 12mn.
