We chanced upon Axiaa Hotel when we were looking for a place to stay the night.
It's a fairly new hotel (3 months, I think), so you can still smell the cement (or is it paint?) even in the room. I guess that is what the charcoal is for on top of the closet (more like a clothes rack, since it has no doors - not an issue for me).
We stayed in a standard room with a double bed - thick matress (I loved this) and comforter (too thick for the climate - hopefully you could include a thinner blanket).
The layout of their bathroom is toilet - sink - shower (my boyfriend loved the shower set), with curtain dividers, and the main door is a frosted glass sliding door (which is kind of heavy & might be an issue for families with small kids; plus the "doorknob" is hard to grasp).
The room had a tv with cable, a full body mirror, a coffee table set, a side table (near a light switch and power outlet with usb for charging gadgets), an open closet with a safe (we didn't use the safe), and flipflops as room slippers (we honestly prefer terry-cloth slippers) - no carpet though. The room they gave us had one small window without a view - again no issue for me since we just wanted to sleep.
I think the room is soundproof, but the door is thin - we still could hear other people talking in the hallway and doors closing, which is a pain in the middle of the night and early in the morning.
There is no restaurant, but there is a fast food place with an entrance within the hotel, plus a convenience store beside it (which is fine because there's mall just across the highway you can cross using the overpass near the hotel).
The front desk personnel are very friendly and professional - we even had a bellhop assist us to our room. The security guard is also nice - since the hotel entrance is not visible from the street, when we asked him where the entrance is, he LED us to it and opened the door, and not just pointed it out to us.
All in all, staying the night in Axiaa was a nice experience - great for the current rate - we got the room overnight for Php 1550, which is lower than the published rate.
