Metro Manuila's huge population of at least 12 million and its relatively high density per kilometre means that even when one does not expect it, there are people everywhere.

Next year Harrison Plaza will have its 40th anniversary.

It is dated and reminiscent of some Gaisano shopping centres elsewhere in Philippines, typically in the Visayas that are similarly eldely.

The mall has not been renovated over the years. It lacks natural light but has many food stalls that offer great value to curious travellers.

I can see this mall eventually being demolished and replaced by apartment towers and perhaps a ground floor of new shops, but that has yet to occur.

Robinsons Place Mall a couple of kilometres away in Ermita is way superior.
