Amigo hotel can be a little tricky to find behind the shopping places in the beginning of Petaling street in Chinatown. It's a cheap accommodation right in the center of Kuala Lumpur, just minutes from station Pasar Seni. Friendly staff! We had a Deluxe room, although pictures promised more than in real life. It's clean and it's cheap, so good for your budget.

Very welcoming staff, Clean rooms with white, crisp sheets. The receptionist was very kind and informative. Rooms with a window are more expensive but nicer due to sunlight. Wifi is working well! Room service was friendly and gave us new towels every day. There is a nice streetart installation just around the corner. A schoolbus cut in the middle and fixed on the walls by Ernest Zacharevic.

Great hotel with super helpful staff with great knowledge of the area. Told us about the free bus to Eat Street and where to catch it and get off. Provided us with maps etc. China town was at the doorstep with great food and other bargains.

Room tip: Top floors are quieter.

We stayed here for 3 nights and were really happy to have found such a well maintained, clean and comfortable place in a Chinatown.
We chose a room with a window, it was not a little as we expected and we paid 106,45 RM in total with the tax fees. On Booking.com it said 91 RM, excluding tax, we weren't sure how much that would exactly be in the end.
All rooms have a bathroom, except the dorms, I think.
The girls at the reception were always very helpful and friendly. The rooms are extremely clean, the bathroom had an amazing shower with a lot of water and a big shower head.
The room is stylish and has a nightstand with a lamp, a phone, TV, and some hangers for your clothes. Also finally something to hang the wet towels onto.
They asked if we wanted our room cleaned every day, that was nice, we never experienced that in any of the budget hotels we stayed at before.
The only think missing was a communal area and maybe breakfast but that was it.
They have a water dispenser for hot and ice cold water near the lobby.
The LRT station Pasar Seni which is just one stop from KL Sentral is 5-10 min from here, the green line Maharajalena that takes you to the Golden Triangle with Japan Alor, Pavillion, Beryaja Times Square and so on is maybe 10 min away.
We asked around at many places in Chinatown, the budget ones didn't have an attached bathroom and weren't as clean. So this is quiet a good deal, we think.
We would go back here.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for three nights whilst in Kuala Lumpur. We arrived quite late due to our flight and we were greeted by the loveliest receptionist! She was so helpful and explained anything and everything we needed to know. I can't stress enough how friendly she was! The room was fab for the price we paid - a little on the small side but it ticked all the boxes! The bed was really comfy - one of the comfiest we have stayed in whilst on our travels and we didn't hear any noise from outside our room. The location is great, it's on the doorstep of china town and close to a LRT station so you can easily get about. We would definitely stay there again!!
