We stayed at the hotel for three nights and although the hotel is close to both Bukit Bintang Walk and Jalan Alor (Hawker Stalls) that's probably where it ended. The hotel is on a very busy road, and in front seems to be a pick up and drop off point for huge coaches/buses.The staff were friendly enough, but dont expect them to pick up the phone any time soon when you call from the room. The room itself was pleasant, but then you go into the bathroom. It seems like the room has been fully renovated, but they forgot to do the bathrooms. We had to get the repair guy up to our room a couple of times, firstly the toilet wouldn't flush (YUK) and secondly we had no television reception. When we booked the room we got the breakfast included, but this turned out to be no bonus. The food was basic and the same fare all three mornings. We didn't go for a swim in the pool, but it looked like it could fit only about 5 people anyway. Overall, this is a pretty basic hotel that l would not class 4 star. It's close to plenty of the shopping malls and food outlets.

Swiss Garden hotel was very impressive. A classy, comfortable and clean room was provided for around $100AUD per night inclusive of breakfast. This is a little more than we would usually pay but it was worth the extra. Car parking was included so that made life a bit easier. Breakfast offered both Asia and Western selection and there was a huge range of pastries, cooked foods, fruit and cereal. We enjoyed the Phillipino singer in the downstairs bar on our first night, what a great voice she had. The room included everything you could possibly need including slippers, robe and even a ironing board. The hotel has a pool and gym but in the two nights we stayed, we did not have time to make use of them. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, icy airconditioning this hotel is the perfect location.

We had a 3 night stay at the Swiss Garden on our way to Vietnam in early January. The hotel was good for the price. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Our view from the room was a construction site directly behind the building but it was not a problem because we didn't spend much time in our room. The hotel has a booking desk for tours in the foyer but its worth trying the convenience store across the road which also has a tour desk if you are thinking of seeing the sites with a guide. We did a trip to Batu Cavs and an Elephant camp just out of KL. The caves were interesting but the Elephant camp was very crowded and a little depressing. Our driver took us to see some monkeys on the way home near a golf course. They were the friendliest monkeys in Asia, not aggressive at all and great for the kids. They were happy to accept any food and particularly enjoyed the Pascals Columbines I bought from Australia.
The restarrants at the Swiss Garden all seemed great. We had the smorgasbord on the first floor one night which was extenive and top notch at a good price. Breakfasts which are usually included in the room price were also fantastic.
The hotel is close to many of the main shopping areas. Time Square is only 5 minutes walk and has many great shops and an amusement park in the shopping centre. Make sure you ride the roller coaster. My 50yo body managed to cope with it better than the kids. The Chinstown town makets are 10 to 15mins walk but the is also a monorail station right outside Time Square that connects with the light and heavy rail lines which will take you just about anywhere in the city. The main bus station in 5 minutes walk as well

We stayed for just one night at the Swiss Garden after a flight was changed and we had to spend a night in Kuala Lumpur enroute to Chiang Mai. We arrived very early in the morning after the late night flight from Australia and were a little disappointed that we couldn't have our room until after 1pm. This was fair enough as they were busy but it's so nice to arrive tired and be pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, the bed hard and as we were at the back of the hotel the view was not very nice. The hotel is just across a busy road from the end of Bukit Bintang and Jalan Alor so it's in quite a handy spot. The concierge was helpful advising the best way to get to the airport very early the next morning. We have stayed at 3 other hotels in Bukit Bintang and I would prefer to stay at them another time.

My husband and I had 8 nights at Swiss Garden in K.L. and after the initial upset of our requested room not being available when we arrived after a long flight, everything else for the next week was great. We had requested a prem/exec room with balcony and it was fantastic, (separate lounge and huge private deck on the 13th floor overlooking sitting to have drinks at night). Two toilets, two huge plasma tv's . The staff were very accommodating ( but the housekeepers for some reason often forgot to fill coffee, sugar, and toilet rolls- but was quickly sent up). The location is great for a quick 5 mins into the city. The breakfast was very varied and beautifully presented. The lobby bar was great fun for drinks at night with a singer and my highlight of the hotel was the fantastic Samsara Spa in the hotel where I had a range of beauty treatments and best ever massages and body wraps at such incredible prices. My husband loved the E Lobby on the 13th floor for the free internet and complimentary coffee and pastries all day. Would go back anytime to stay at Swiss Garden.
