My stay at the santiago guesthouse was good. The staff is very friendly and help you where ever they can.
The have a nice bar/café fownstairs and if you are a guest you get some discounts on beverages and drinks.

They have chill area with some free to use computers. But don't really have kitchen (water boiler and microwave, fridge)

Only 1 dryer and washing machine sonyou have to be lucky if its free!
The hostel itself is very clean good beds (except for the pillows to hard and small in my opinion...)

All by all a good stay!

cheper than other, though amazingly large room.
no kitchen no laundly tatami(living room)is old. shower room is small.
the nearest bus stop is 五条坂(gojouzaka).turn right along highway, third building is the hostel.
I recommend this hostel.
It takes 10min to 清水五条(kiyomizugojou)station . around the station, there is 100yen lawson, seven eleven, family mart.

We stayed in 12 bed dorm which was spacious and each bed had a curtain to ensure some privacy. The beds were pretty uncomfortable as the mattresses were really thin.

Although there were few showers and toilets for the number of guests (at peak times there were queues for the showers) the facilities were of a very clean standard. Theres a small communal area but not very comfortable or helpful for socialising and there were no kitchen facilities to cook.

The location was close to one of the popular temples and about 20 minutes walk from Gion (the location of shops and restaurants).

As a guest of the hostel you get a discount on the food from the cafe / restaurant below, which was great if you wanted a quick and tasty breakfast before heading out for the day.

Wifi was generally good but regularly cut out in the bedrooms. Staff were really friendly.
