The hotel itself is really good. It feels a bit outdated, but I wouldn't have really noticed until I started writing this review.
My only not-perfect part in the experience is when I tried to talk to the front desk in English. I tried to make a booking in English, they said (quote) "No, not available". Well... hospitality might need a review. However, when I recalled and spoke in English, we found a room. Just good timing, or the staff was scared of speaking in English. Also, when I called from my room and said "I have a question" in English, the staff gave me a short "Mh", which from a native would mean "the hell, I'm working here, can't you keep your questions for later?"
I'm sure they were all well-intentioned though, and the only problem was language skills.
It's definitely a place worth a try. Great location, and we got a nice offer with a nice upgrade (which we refused because it consisted in a better room, but with two single beds put together, which means you have a gap in the middle and romanticism goes out of the window).
Can't really tell about the price. We paid a very good price for this kind of hotel (ab. 20K¥), but I think it was a special offer because I wouldn't mind paying an extra 10.More
