Excellent private tour for two couples. Judy was a wonderful tour guide to the Terracotta Warriors. The private tour allowed us to customize our time to meet our unique interests and needs. Highly recommended as this was the best tour we took during our visit to China.

Traveling in new countries, it’s often difficult to get around, communicate or fully appreciate the sites visited. We booked Bryanbai so we could get a whirlwind tour of some of the great sites of Xi’an. We were not disappointed.

He communicated with us several times before our trip to make sure we were happy with our trip plans. We coordinated a driver to pick us up from the train station, and with clear communication, it was an easy process.

We went on a typical 2-day tour that others mentioned, but he also had a backup/contingency plan in case lines at the city museum were too long (which they were). We ended up going to another garden with a smaller pagoda than Wild Goose, but it was so beautiful to wander around, and connected to a smaller museum. A great option!

Bryanbai was very nice, and accommodating, always checking in on how we were feeling, if we wanted photos, and (to my joy) knew where clean western toilets were at each of our sites.. it may seem silly, but that was a big deal to me who hadn’t experienced porcelain squat toilets on any of my other travels!

He explained the history of artifacts with details we wouldn’t have received had we gone on a tour by ourselves. Loads of information, but it was so great!

His prices are affordable and fair, and he really packs in the day with lots to see! I’d recommend Bryanbai to anyone — he makes travel easy and is willing to accommodate and adjust the tours to fit your wants.

Bryan was unavailable for the dates we wanted, but he organised for us a very good guide called Agnes. Bryan organised a driver to collect us from the train station in Xian when we arrived, and to take us around during our stay. Both Agnes and the driver were polite, friendly and very professional. Bryan made sure our vehicle was spacious and air conditioned, and the driver ensured we always had cold bottles of water available which was very important in summer. Agnes possessed a lot of knowledge and made our tour very interesting and pleasant. She bought all necessary tickets in advance so we never had to wait in line. The driver always arrived to take us on time. Even though Bryan was not physically present, he was in contact with us before, during, and after the trip, making sure everything was just how we wanted it, and even more. If you take a tour to Xian, I highly recommend you contact Bryan! You won't be sorry.

From all the excellent reviews on here, I contacted Bryan by email. He responded right away and we set up my tours for Xian. Unfortunately, Bryan was already booked and recommended Lucy. I was able to download WeChat and conversed with both Bryan and Lucy. Lucy and the driver met us at the Train station and we proceeded to tour the Muslim street, Great Mosque, Bell and Drum tower and City wall of Xian. Since it was extremely hot, we decided to get an earlier start to tour the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Lucy is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Xian and the Terracotta Warriors. We enjoyed hearing her personal stories growing up in Xian. We also tried a local fast food place called WeiJia where we ate a cold noodle dish (minus the chili sauce...we added a little bit by ourselves!). Thank you Lucy and Bryan for a memorable trip!

I contacted Bryan before our planned trip to Xi'an, which was really just a side trip, and he responded very quickly. He also gave us hotel recommendation, which we were really grateful for (I have a separate review of Dongshe Hotel). He also proposed a half day itinerary, which i found to be doable for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.
We arrived at the train station at midday, and Driver Mr. Xu was there waiting for us at the gate. Bryan met us as we walked to the carpark.
From there we proceeded to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, which was about an hour's drive. Since we were quite hungry after the train ride, Bryan suggested authentic Xian food nearby (yummy noodles!) The visit to the museum was tiring, yet we were amazed at how this archaeological site told a lot of stories about how people of 2,000 years ago lived (or at least how extravagant their emperor was).
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was next on the agenda. On the drive back to the city, Bryan amazed us with a lot of facts about Xian and the story of how Xian's farmers put them on the map. It wasn't a big surprise that he knew a lot of these from being a history major, plus almost 2 decades worth of being a tour guide. We arrived at the Pagoda nearing closing time, so Bryan breezed us through the place. He also knew where all the nice photo op areas were, which was a bonus for us.
After this, he brought us to the City Wall, and again this was good timing as we caught the sunset there. We had a good view of both the old and new parts of the city.
Sounds like we had a lot going on for half a day with 2 children in tow. It was, but Bryan and Mr. Xu made us feel comfortable the whole way. They brought us back to the hotel and made sure we were checked in properly before leaving us for the night. He also recommended a nice restaurant in the Muslim Quarter where we ate more traditional Xian specialties.
