To be a good guide, you need to be honest, professionalism, willing to listen, permanent learning, passion and a humble, relaxed, approach to any kind of competence, the pleasure to do their jobs, eager to learn new thing for everyday.

We only had a day trip to Xi'an from Beijing so we splurged and opted for a good tour guide to ensure we got the most out of it. Bryan was perfect. Highly responsive in corresponding and setting up the tour; highly attentive in ensuring we were met and returned back to the right train smoothly; brilliant in answering our many, many questions on all things China, not just Xi'an based and helpful in working with us to make touring with a toddler relaxed and enjoyable. We're very happy to recommend him.
Our one bit of feedback would be for Bryanbai to ensure he still clearly manages the timings of the day given his local knowledge on how long things take - we'd not have spent quite so long at the warriors asking questions had we known it was making it impossible to fit everything in and we did miss out on seeing the Muslim Quarter as a result.

I contacted Byan after reading the comments on tripadvisor. Bryan was not available during the days I was in Xi'an and he recommended his colleague Agnes. Agnes was our tour guide for a day for the major attractions in Xi'an. She spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable in the history on the attractions we visited. She even accommodated our request to make a stop at at IT mall which is much appreciated. Will recommend Bryan/Agnes for anybody looking for a reliable guide in Xi'an.

We just visited Xi’an. We made a day trip from Beijing and had a wonderful day with Bryan. We were referred to him by our Beijing guide. When we arrived he waited for us and didn’t leave us until we got back to the airport in the evening. He was most patient and flexible with our preferences. He was kind, easy going, fun and very knowledgeable. We recommend him immensely.

My pregnant wife and I enjoyed a short but lovely trip to Xi'an thanks to the excellent service by Bryan and Agnes.

They spoke fluent English and went to great lengths in telling us about the history of the great ancient capital. We were enamored both by the superb hospitality shown as much as by the cultural riches Xi'an bestowed.

The ride was cozy but comfortable. It can get a little warm even in early March, so do bring along light clothing and maybe a tumbler for cold water. The air remained smoggy with a mix of desert dust and pollution from neighboring cities. We were told that the air quality has greatly improved from decades ago, but development still has some way to go in this second tier city. Do pack along a couple of masks if you intend to stroll around.

If you are planning a trip to Xi’an and Terracotta Warriors Museum in Shaanxi province, you won’t go wrong with Bryan’s private tours and one of his best guides Agnes. Bryan is very reliable and organised, very prompt to answer your emails, suggest you itineraries and answer whatever questions you may have. He and Agnes both speak excellent English and will arrive to pick you up for your tour in a very large, comfortable and clean car with a driver. Agnes is very friendly and jolly person. She will gladly answer all your questions about using the Subway, doing your shopping or going out on your own for that tasty Xi’an dinner at night. She knows what’s going on in town and how to get there. For example, she gave us a tip to see a water light show at the Big Goose Pogoda at night. Following her suggestion, we got there by subway on our own. That turned out to be one of the most wonderful sights and a highlight of Xi’an. Agnes will not try to sell you services you don’t require and will not drag you to any sites / shopping experiences you are not interested in. I would highly recommend Bryan’s & Agnes’ services for all independent travelers.
